Sure there was gobs of gibs in SOF2, but it had a better story than typical pr0n. Plus mine was free with a gfx card. As for the pricing, if it's retailing at $40, well folks, that's the new 'value' level. What's the premier level looking like? Gamestop has Crysis for $50, and CE packaging for $60. "Best of" bundles jack it up even higher for stuff you already paid for, or was effectively (but not legally) abandonware decades ago. BTW, how many OrangeBox'er's already owned HL2? Your tiers have been pushed up, and all because the neo-conBusHitlerJewishJihadiUberConspiracy wants you to pay Starbucks more for Hot Coffee. P226 0 Posted December 3, 2007 At least this game has a positive point: it's like stepping back in time! In the early days of modern FPS! Plus it's impossible to have "spoilers" on this game as there's virtually no story! Enemies spawn before your eyes (terrorist indeed have modern weapons, Star Trek transport ray thing I guess), sprinting is like Crysis' speed mod, voices are like recorded by a bunch of friends for fun while eating some pizza. Frag grenades blast effects are visually exactly the same in the air or on the ground... Enemies obviously are retarded. Forget about stealth. Silencers on weapons are completly useless. I actually heard an enemy in what looked south America (the story is so boring and linear that you don't even listen) speaking French. Why not? Let's have Afghans speaking Congolese as well! The only positive thing seriously is the fun of ripping the arms or legs off a guy. Or blow his arm off or shoot his throat and see him bleeding slowly until he falls down. Well I could go on and on about it but it's easier to say: this game isn't worth more than 10$ among the low budget games. Save your bucks for a game like CoD 4. That is actually worth the money. lt.chris 0 Posted December 3, 2007 After giving it a bash i was pretty dispointed with it myslef (from having played the 2nd one) it was just more gun crazy fanatics, massive body count etc etc compared to the 2nd one which had levels you actally went to the shop and had convosations with people about whats going on which totally improved the storyline and added to the feeling of the charcter you play as the guy you played in the 2nd one called John actally had a more mature personality from what you expect in an agent but the one in sof3 is like some kid going "yeh i wanna kill like 100 people in like 0.5 seconds" but yeh my personal opinion is : dispointing Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
