Buldozer without having OFP installed...

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I was wondering if it is possible to use Buldozer with O2light without having OFP installed. I never play OFP anymore after I got Arma, but I would like to be able to use the Viewer with O2 without having to install alot of files I never use.

Also, could someone send me the Flashpoint.cfg from the Flashpoint folder (so I get good textures in Buldozer)?

Please.. sad_o.gif

Here’s what I’ve done in the past. If you still have OFP, Install it an export the Reg Key from your Registy. Keep up with the Reg file for future use like make a backup of the reg file in a .zip or .rar. That way you can use it if you ever need it again without installing the game just for using Buldozer. I would post the Reg file but it has a unique key for my software. Other than that I don’t have a clue how you could use it. So if you don’t have the game no Buldozer for you. nener.gif

well if you have the Reg file you simple double click it. Its gonna ask "Are you sure you want to add the information in C:\X\X\X\Reg_File.reg to the registry?" just click yes. an its like you installed the game.

You don't need to use the old O2-Viewer.

You can use the Buldozer included in Arma.

An important question !

I try it out some times (and have to see that ArmA in 'Bulldozermode' need a DVD too huh.gif )

but it won't work, finally i get one CfgWorld and one Direct3D error.

To use Arma as buldozer you must have the DVD in the drive.

In O2 Options....External Viewer:

c:\pathtoyourarmagamefolder\ArmA.exe -window -buldozer -noland

This should allow use of arma as buldozer.

Maybe because it's -bulldozer, not -buldozer.

I cannot get the map NOT to load. Are you guys sure it's -noland ?

Okey. This is what I have in my external viewer value:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">C:\Programfiler\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\arma.exe -window -buldozer -noland

I also get the errors:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">No entry '.CfgWorlds'. and then a <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">Shaders not valid (mismatch of exe and data?)

Hmmm. It would be interesting if I got this to work. confused_o.gif

I am not at home at my PC, but as far as I can remember you have to unpack 2 PBOs and take these new folders into the arma-root-folder.

Both PBOs are located in the dta-folder (I am not sure, but I think it was bin.pbo and core.pbo).

My O2-config I don't know at the moment but in the evening I'll edit my posting.

Edit, actually I was wrong.

Yes, core.pbo, bin.pbo, it's working now. smile_o.gif Thanks.

Is there any way to make it work with shaders: show specular and normal maps?
