Crosshares ?? PLEASE help

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I bought the game via ebay-it

s at the post office-going to pick it up this afternoon yay.gif sooooo happy!!

Ive been playing the demo. Now, i have one problem. When infantry, the way you move the gun...it's really hard to explain. It's not like battlefield or other gun 2D games.

So like, it's really hard positioning your weapon.

sigh, sooo hard to explain.

Does anyone understand what i meen?

PLEASE help

Go to your control options, there you can adjust your sensitivity and floatzone.

You must be describing the floating feature that ArmA comes with stock.

Go to: Option/Controls ... at the bottom look for the slider bar called "FLOATING ZONE". Move it all the way to the LEFT.

floating zone will reduce the amount of room the weapon will move around the screen. Also try using the iron sights... because of the parralax error of having the gun in 3d and your face in a different place, you can't be accurate in shooting at distances or very close without using the iron sights.

I find that it's still simple to hit someone without the crosshairs and the float zone at default.

you don't really need cross hairs. i turn them off and if i want to shoot something i press right mouse button and use iron sights to aim.

Also when it comes to the floating zone it's tempting to turn it all the way to the left (off) but try not to. it takes a while but you do get a real advantage in being able to maneuver your weapon to aim without the whole damn screen changing at the same time.

i actually really like this feature. i tend to increase it instead of turning it off.

I max it out... it's like vet OFP all over again. All I wish there was now concerning this was the old R6-like view from the original ArmA videos - it had a far better feeling, IMHO.

I see you ran out of steam on that assumption, haha. Iron sights are the below view. You can access it by pressing v by default. You can also make it a little more CQB by double tapping the num-pad minus button.

If all else fails, RTFM.

You can also activate iron sights/optics with a quick right-click. Clicking and holding the right mouse button will activate concentration mode, which zooms in a little more and steadies your aim for a short time (simulating holding your breath).
