colkurtz 0 Posted May 16, 2007 Performance and bugs of course. But realistic tracers with richochets would be nice and maybe being able to fast rope from helicopters or shot from the littlebird. but i'm happy with the game.
Thomas Ryan 0 Posted May 16, 2007 The crouching, prone and stand up movement keys were so easy to master in OFP. I remember loading up the ArmA demo for the first time (the one just before the 505 release) and being shocked at how they changed. If BIS did revert them back to OFP's however, that'd make them have to change their leaning controls as Q in ArmA leans left and E leans right... Performance upgrades/fixes are mandatory in my opinion. ArmA gives me terrible performance on my exceeding-minimum-specifications computer. I couldn't care less if they added any new vehicles and stuff, I would only care if the patch fixed performance and bugs. I was hoping for this in v1.07b, but all I got was new SF helmets and an A-10...
NeoNiels 0 Posted May 16, 2007 I voted performance because i have a dualcore but if there is one thing that needs a complete overhaul it's the helicopter control system. It was not perfect in OFP but it was still a lotta fun. Flying a helicopter in ARMA is most defenitly NOT fun. You crash more than a destruction derby! I think they looked to much at Battlefield 2. Their system was also terrible. And last but not least the assault rifle supersnipers should be adressed.
whisper 0 Posted May 16, 2007 errrr, what? You still crash with 1.04 and later choppers?
vilas 477 Posted May 16, 2007 1.07 beta still CTD :/ after patching from 1.02 to 1.05 i have lost much of performance , i even wanted to uninstal now in 1.07 CTD , error cannot create surface , the same error as in Vista maybe not in 1.08 but i hope they made dualcore support otherwise this engine will be bad

Blanco 0 Posted May 17, 2007 I voted for performance but that was before 1.07.5157 came out. Performance is better than ever now, so I change my vote to bug fixes. Mainly AI-bug fixes.
Törni 0 Posted May 17, 2007 Two 1.07 betas with increasing version number. Is the next official patch then going to be 1.08?
fardwark 0 Posted May 17, 2007 Increasing revision number, not version. 5157 most likely corresponds to the revision in whatever source code versioning solution they use. So the version is 1.07, revision is 5157.
Bloodnick 0 Posted May 17, 2007 I voted for performance too. Dual/Quad core support would be a great improvement, but it's damn hard to do. 1.07 actually fixed everything on my comp, the large scale battles I made in 1.05 was laggy and useless because of the number of units, and now they run fine, even with increased graphics options. The small bugs that's in ArmA now doesn't bother me really, the other patches fixed the AI, so I'm happy with it But they should make it a little bit easier to initialize the hover procedure on the Harrier, I have to climp to about 500 meters before it's really safe to turn the nozzles so I don't crash into the ground because of speed loss.
