    Patch 1.08

    This vote is for everyone who want to tell what he wants to see in the next patch. Personally I think BIS should concentrate on performance update for the next patch, because all last patches doesn't show great performance improvements And having to play the game on low even with a 4600+ / 7900gt isn't much fun

    @Maddmatt Changing the "frames to render ahead" to a level lower than 3 can cause performance decrease in some games

    Under WinXP and Vista, ArmA shows an extreme mouse delay when framerate goes under ~35fps I can't understand why BIS don't fix this problem! Therefore it is very hard to aim at somebody when standing in a forest or a big city. The only solution for this problem is changing the "Render frames ahead" value in the video drivers from "3" to "0" So every time I start/end ArmA I have to change this value Please BIS if it is possible...fix this 'bug'

    Texture replacement or decals?

    Also remember that map . Red Faction with it's Geo-Mod-Engine was cool but ArmA won't support deformable terrain. Now back to topic . I also hope they'll change the old texture replacement system of OFP with a new decal based system for all movable objects, where you can see the point where the bullet get in and out of the material. I read somewhere that you can now shoot through materials in ArmA... This would add much realism to the game, imagine you drive with a jeep and someone shoot at you and you see all the bulletholes in the windshield an all over the car skin. Or you take cover behind a tent and see all bulletholes the enemy shoot through.

    Hi, Look at this screenshot from ArmA : http://www.kvaerulanten.dk/armed-assault/gallery/3.jpg uniform of this soldier seems to have a kind of bump mapping and the grass is very detailed. When you look at other screenshots like this one : http://www.armedassault.com/shots/armed2_hi.jpg You don't see any bump mapping or such detailed grass. Perhaps the first picture isn't from ArmA ??
  7. I want to know if there are any other differences between these two games beside the resolution? Some people say that ArmA will support dx9 features but Xbox can’t show these effects. Are there other ArmA differences like ai, physiks, graphics that we don’t see in Xbox version?
