Hi,

I like flying a lot in this game but there seems to still be some problems that have meant to have been fixed that are still missing or not fixed sufficiently.

-Runway Landing lights

They never seem to be on at night unless your standing a few feet away. Even when you can see them in the aircraft your about to hit the runway. These could do with being made brighter.

-Landing lights.

They have now been added to Su34 but on all aircraft they seem to be very dim and the light only travels about 10-20m. So again if you are landing you can't see much unless its 20m in front of you.

-A10

The giant cannon on the aircraft seems to have invisible bullets. I know you wouldn't be able to see them very much in real life, But the debris just sort of appears.

Also, When switching between 3rd person and some other instances the controls go completely blurred and lose all detail apart from the dials on the gauges. It also blurs Window bars and makes the view a bit blurred. Maybe a lod problem?

Does anyone else share these problems or have other problems related to aircraft?

Ok, back on topic...

yeah, i really agree with all you said, it all needs improvment, now, with the A10... ill be trying to improve that when the mod tools come out.

Sounds like a good idea smile_o.gif I was thinking would it be possible to use a script to make smoke come from the cannon area? Im sure someone done effects for su34 made wing tip vapour so maybe you could make particles around the cannon area?

thats what i'm mainly going to edit, is the cannon, i'm going to make it so it smokes and maybe add tracers...

StryDa, what setting do you have your post processing effects set at? as I've noticed ArmA does try to simulate DoF though sometimes with terrible results.

I would not implement fast moving planes into ArmA, it is always an issue to sync those fast planes properly between the clients.

Copters and Ground attack planes are already difficult enough to handle from sync point of view.

And where is the sense to have a fast bird if Sahrani and sea around is not big enough to make a turn at fast speed.

btw, is it still true that on each island only one airfield could be made AI-usable? If so, it is one of the next things to be solved.

F-14 Tomcats replacement is the F/A-18 Super Hornet. Maybe Hollywood is making another "Top Gun" heroboy-movie biggrin_o.gif

Would be nice if AI can land/start from those little dirty runways around...but not with jets like F16, Mig29!!

erm......am i the only one who want to see a B17 with 20 .50 cal in total, atless 2 for each turret? wow_o.gificon_rolleyes.gifbiggrin_o.gif

MiG-29 are made with unimproves airstrips in mind.

KJAM i run everything at veryhigh/high Apart from terrain detail seen as no grass gives me another 10-15fps biggrin_o.gif. As for fast moving planes, they would be nice to have but as someone else said there wouldn't be much point for the size of the island and for how the game runs. It would be nice to have a big transport plane like a c-130 that you could halo jump out of for insertion behind enemy lines, but i'm sure a mod team will make one(think RKSL are.)

LOL.. The AI really does suck with Jet's though, it's so damn unpredictable... Even When you set a waypoint.

But it would be nice seeing jets ported from OFP..
