mattxr 9 Posted April 2, 2007 Hello, this morning I started having weird problems with the in-game multiplayer browser.1) It takes about 1-2mins to even load into it, whereas before today it did so instantly. 2)It takes another 1 or 2 minutes to start responding, during those 1-2 minutes it is officially frozen whereas before today I had zero problem with it 3)Defaulting to lan, switching it to internet will still list zero game servers, worked fine before today. Note that I can still add and joinservers using the remote option. Â I have changed nothing about my configuration, firewall, hardware in the last week. Checked the firewall and it certainly isnt the culprit. Anyone else having trouble with gamespy? Thats just started to happen with me and a few other guys
ratslla 0 Posted April 2, 2007 I'm actually wondering why we haven't heard anything yet from BIS or Gamespy regarding the fact that we can't play at the moment. (i know we can play via direct IP but at the moment thats not working fine). Is this just one of the many bugs in arma or is it really gamespy that is causing this? One thing i hoped to see in arma other then grapichal enhancement, is that they would cut the connection with gamespy..
ratslla 0 Posted April 2, 2007 Quote[/b] ]Thats just started to happen with me and a few other guys   read on in this thread m8, the server list is provided by gamespy, however the word goes that the service of gamespy for armed assault is currently down.. No statements or what so ever confirmed this yet but this is probably causing it.. just wait it out i guess..
robert(uk) 0 Posted April 2, 2007 Yeah I am wondering when GameSpy are going to sort this out. As I said in another thread, I can't get into Hidden & Dangerous 2 either, which is also powered by GameSpy. I hope that they know about this...

robert(uk) 0 Posted April 2, 2007 I've just been on the Battlefield 2 forums because one of my friends said he couldn't get into that either, and they are having the same problem. According to an admin on the BF2 forums, the problem is known about and although they didn't name GameSpy, they did say 'The cause has been identified; the appropriate teams are now working to resolve the issue.' zyklone 1 Posted April 3, 2007 For those who want to play now but experiencing problems with the gamespy browser, maybe this is a workaround:http://stats.swec.se:3001/server/list This list isn't accurate at all to me. Once connected to one of the servers with a few players it turns out to be empty. The list was indeed broken. Fixed now.
