Cheers WolfBite,

I seem to be handling the creation of

models,and basic config/scripting.It's

the more advanced stuff that trips me

up.

So we'll do the best we can.When there's

a little more to offer,maybe we can

put them out there for Beta release.

I just want anyone who's interested to

see that we're still active.Regardless

of the final state of the content,it's

gettin released.But that doesn't mean it

won't be done to the best of our

ability.

Personally,I'm not puttin in this amount of

work,only to shelve it because of Ofp

limitations.Which I know happens with a

lot of mods n addons.For any number of

reasons.

Anyway,for my part,I'll try to keep the pace

up.And thanks for lookin in.Much appreciated.

I suppose the neck does look a little scrawny

(thin).But that's just a matter of pushin around

some vertices.Easily sorted out.

That marine looks good indeed (especially the shin guards), but yeah, it's not only the neck that looks weird crazy_o.gif

Either the helmet is too big or the head is too small, did you copy that head from the BIS civilian model?

And just a precaution... Watch out when you define the "bricho" (belly I think) and "hrudnik" (upper body I think) area (and the shoulder parts), be very careful with that (especially since the armor looks like it is seperated from the main body model), or you might end up with a parts of the body sticking out of the armor during some movements (like with some aiming animations with other animation packs) smile_o.gif

Also, it would be a good idea if you'd define the lower vertices of the neck to the "hrudnik". Since, if you don't do that, a gap might occur between the neck and the upper body. (Like in my marines, you can see that when they are in the cargo position cleaning their rifles)

Reason it looks so weird is the head along with the neck is set too far back. Move it a bit forward.

I haven't finished it up just yet,so I'll

bear those things in mind.

And yeah,selections seem to be problematic on

a custom model.It's hard to get them to fit the

standard animations.While it looks good in O2,

it changes drastically ingame.Which I suppose,is

why some people opted to redo the anims,to suit their

own creations.

As regards what I used,it's basically a civvy model,

but all that's left is the head and hands.

Although I don't think it's possible to get it perfect,

especially with "human" type models,I'll certainly do

my best.

Tryin to cobble some textures together,

while experimenting with scripts,and finishing

up the models(Lods etc).

Obviously textures will have to be adjusted to get a little more

consistency.As well as a few tweaks with proportions.

Not much in the way of content I'll agree.

But I'm tryin to balance this and a busy

worklife.So I'm doin the best I can.

Yeah I know... sorry but kind of busy at present going away a fair bit (In fact I shouldn't even be at home right now).

Its all coming together though and I can't wait. If you need help retrieving stuff from the depths of Flashpoint developer memory don't be afraid to ask...

go for a more rounded look,for the DpShip.

I've been using these pics along with others

as a reference.

The pics are of the 1:12 scale model,used in the

film.

Shoulder lamps.

Should I leave em in...or not?

It's only visual,but it looks

close enough to the real thing.

Or rather,it's movie counterpart.

I know it's been done many times

before,but it's a first for me.

(adding light to a soldier/weapon).

Hello gentlemen,

@R0adki11

I intended on tryin out Bas's cargo scripts.

The "loader" scripts.But they don't seem to

be answering their E-mail.I'd like to get permission

to use them,before going ahead.

But we definately want the dpShip capable

of transport.Otherwise it's stuck as a "gunship".

Dude, that loader script, which addon is it from? The blackhawk or the chinook? I remember something vague about that it's ok to use their scripts as long as you give credits for it. Check the readme file of them.

How's your project comin along?You

makin progress?

As far as the Bas scripts go,I may have

to go ahead and use em,giving them

credit in the process.It's about the only

script I can think of that would suit.

If I understand the logic of the scripts,

I may have some more modelling to do.

But I don't mind the extra work.

Btw,I was thinking of the "chinook" version.

Hmm..I may do that anyway,for a variant.

I think troop transport is mentioned in the

CM tech manual.

Progress is non-existent now, got too much stuff in my head, I'm gonna work on it again somewhere in the beginning of juli I think, last exams for this year are coming up and the teachers are getting on my nerves... crazy_o.gif
