Mr_Tea 0 Posted March 4, 2007 Maybe your DVD drive is not compatible with Starforce? Anyways, the use of no DVD cracks is illegal and should not be discussed here.
wipman 1 Posted March 4, 2007 There's Starforce in the 505(EU) release version?.
Danbri 0 Posted March 4, 2007 I run "FrontLine Drivers Removal Tool" wich is supposed to remove Starforce, but it reported that there was no Starforce on my computer so its not used in Arma (UK version 1.05 that is). This tool has worked before removing Starforce so I know it works.
fubarno1 0 Posted March 5, 2007 to check for starforce go into device manager click view (at the top) tick show hidden devices. then open "none plug and play devices" if you have starforce on your system it will be listed in there.
JdB 151 Posted March 5, 2007 The 505 release uses SecuRom, not Starforce. SecuRom is known to have problems with CD emulating software such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. The easiest solution would be to remove these programs from your system (yes, it is stupid ).

The easiest solution would be to remove these programs from your system (yes, it is stupid ). Well yes and no. I got my german Version (Securom) running together with Daemon Tools. I never had any problem with it. The disc gets verified anytime. The problems occur when I use a tool to hide these Emulators, like YASU. Then I also get the error saying that Emulation software has been detected. I can't speak for Alcohol though, haven't used it since ages. I heard also debugging tools like Sysinternals Processmonitor can cause Securom error messages.
Aurvan 0 Posted March 5, 2007 If the Euro version had StarForce I would not have bought the game. Securom is less intrusive, so I can accept that.
s8n 0 Posted March 5, 2007 AFAIK, only Czech (mayby Polish too) version for Czech and Slovak market had Starforce protection (on Czech Language forum the discussion about this "protection" prohibited. I am the lucky one that bought Czech DVD version and therefor I can enjoy the great servise of this woderfull protective software that show one time error that it detected emulating software on my PC and suddenly after that without any problems run the game slightly funny... ofcourse that this is completly random
Demetan 0 Posted March 5, 2007 Not ramdom for me, the game never starts. I know that it's illegal to crack any game, but it was the only way to make armA 1.04 work!!! And i have bought it!! I dont have deamon tools or alcohol installed... OK Securom not starforce, but it's the same problem, i buy ArmA DVD version, english version with french subtitles, and i cant play... Until a 1.05 noDVD is released.
s8n 0 Posted March 5, 2007 Mayby you have virtual CD/DVD ROM and protection detected that... try to reinstall Win and install Arma on the emulating soft clean system... or check some game protections forums/sites... other games with this protecion may have similiar problems... yannara 1 Posted March 5, 2007 SecuROM v7 (v7.29.0009 [GERMAN] / 7.30.0014 [ENGLISH])
Demetan 0 Posted March 8, 2007 I have the solution : To do this, go to: 1. Start button in lower left hand corner 2. Go up to Settings, then over to Control Panel 3. Inside Control Panel folder, go down to User Accounts 4. Follow the directions within this area for the creation of a new User Account. Be sure to create it without Adminstator Rights. And it works!
