Blackbuck 9 Posted February 13, 2007 The magazine looks a bit dark on the AK74 But the units look quite good. Click Me There are a few different types in that pic if your interested...
Col. Faulkner 0 Posted February 13, 2007 I'll nitpick and say that bright Burgundy coloured trousers are an unusual choice for modern "combat" attire, even for "irregular" forces which I presume these are supposed to represent. At least his rifle looks clean and well-oiled!

First thought that went through my head too. Reminds me of parachute pants for some reason (Is it "Hammertime"?)... But it's great to see that more and more people are learning about modding for ArmA! Keep it up! Abs
Col. Faulkner 0 Posted February 14, 2007 I'll nitpick and say that bright Burgundy coloured trousers are an unusual choice for modern "combat" attire, even for "irregular" forces [...] Actually, I take this back! Sorry. Real soldiers have in fact worn such improbable colours in the field in modern wars. Here is an extreme example; in 1992 the Bosnian- Herzegovinian army, faced with a shortage of uniforms, made U.S. Army pattern winter field uniforms out of stocks of cloth that had been found in a factory that had been making civilian women's clothing. Most of the cloth was in bright civilian colours like purple, violet and pink and they made and wore uniforms in those colours in the field! Â Â Who will be first to do a retexture inspired by this (authentically illustrated) Bosnia-Herzegovina Vojnik?

Col. Faulkner 0 Posted February 16, 2007 How about making an AK74 with black plastic furniture like the modern ones have? That'd look nice too.
max power 21 Posted February 16, 2007 I've noticed this on a few addons.. when you combine very vivid colours with this shading technology, the result is that the colours seems to overwhelm the shading and what you get is a very flat, pastel look. I would like to propose to you that you desaturate the midtone green pants there in particular, and see if that has any effect on the way they look if you are unsatisfied with their current look. To me, it looks like they are made of those light but course nylon material they used to make track pants out of in the 80s.

Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted February 17, 2007 Very nice mate... But why is the guy wearing sunglasses on his ID-card? Isn't that a bit weird? Just a minor detail, of course

Just a minor detail, of course because u dont read the text on the top of the pic Second: the pic is made by Handy Cam my texture settings in ArmA are low NOT HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but no prop u can buy a new CPU for me!! Col. Faulkner 0 Posted February 17, 2007 I think you are misunderstanding. Espectro isn't criticising the texture settings level. He is just making a very small point that in the real world you'd never be allowed to have an ID photo with sunglasses on. I think it's kind of a joke (like me saying the guy should put a "pflaster" on his cut).
