Bracken 0 Posted September 19, 2007 Really good as always Col. Faulkner! I too very much look forward to been able to make missions for these units, once released. Atleast if you don't mind them taking part in alittle less releastic campains(will try though ofcourse). Will any of your units have leaves/branches attached to their helmets? Col. Faulkner 0 Posted September 27, 2007 The current state of the figures is as follows: Unfortunately I don't know now how to progress them beyond this rather raw, low poly state. I have to make normal maps for them to add the necessary details but the thought of making very high poly versions of all of these in a tool as basic as Oxygen is very disheartening. Col. Faulkner 0 Posted September 27, 2007 Quote[/b] ]I hope you also give the Paratroopers scarves 1st Para Bde at Bruneval, judging from photos, wore woollen scarves. A few, including John Frost, appear to have worn face veil scarves in brown and green. Quote[/b] ]u planning on expanding from commandos to ordenary troops fighting in europe No. One of the reasons why I chose to do commando raids in the first place is because I don't think that ArmA represents conventional warfare very well (no proper cover, can't dig in, stupidly simple damage modelling, crap AI with no idea of real battlecraft, etc etc) Quote[/b] ]Will any of your units have leaves/branches attached to their helmets? No. The paratroopers will have scrim nets over their helmets and the commandos will have painted sandbag covers. Personal camouflage was of little use in quick, night-time "butcher and bolt" raids. -AIF- Kris 0 Posted September 27, 2007 Thanks Col and i guess it wouldnt be to hard to make a "european" style battle in editor (when this is released ill do that as well as some commando style missions XD)

No need for that, you can just edit the normal maps.
Col. Faulkner 0 Posted November 23, 2007 Moderators, please close this thread. This project is now definitely cancelled. Thanks to all who showed interest.
Blackbuck 9 Posted November 23, 2007 I'm guessing RL came and slapped you in the face mate. NVM. both this and your other project looked very promising though. Good luck what you do next. Regards Mark.

Bracken 0 Posted November 24, 2007 Very sad I guess that is life though, things don't always turn out as you planned. Thanks, for all the effort anyway Col, it was very enjoyable just to read about what you were planning and the information that you provided with each update. Maybe in afew years, things will change and you might have another go at Arma2 or something Best of luck.
Col. Faulkner 0 Posted December 4, 2007 I regret disappointing anyone, but a combination of factors has forced abandonment of the project: My personal circumstances have changed and I no longer have much time to devote to the considerable amount of work necessary for modelling and (particularly) for acquiring the skills required to finish the addons to a high standard. I have become very disillusioned by the many deficiencies in the ArmA game and have lost interest in making content for it. I no longer have it, or any of the tools, installed on any of my PCs. @helping_hand. The line from Catullus in your sig is actually "da mi basia mille" Â Â "da mihi basilia mille" is a misquote.
