ArmA Custom Faces For Free

Hi, i've made a lower face mask, with leopard skin arms; for the psychobillys

out there, i haven't try it in game so i don't know how it look like. But i like

the leopard skin, that was made by PSC for his OFP dunne buggys pack.

Could someone give me a quick rundown on:

1) Where I find the tempate to make these changes

2) What program to use to make the changes

3) And short description HOW to make the changes.

1) In Armedassault.eu

2) Adobe Photoshop (i used the CS 9.0, but any lower, cheaper

version will serve too).

3) Just play with the effects, colours & tools; is not that hard.

That's the best advice that i can give you.

i have little question, ive created my first custom face and looks quite nice:

any ideas what should i change ?

The second one has not enough contrast especially cause many ArmA textures are painted it wont match up.

Id say try raise the contrast and play with the brightness and if it gets too strong coloured work with hue and saturation sliders.

Cant try atm cause im at work but that should do the job.

hey wipman. liking that last face u did wiv the camo face and grey gloves but just 2 let ya know the nose doesnt line up with the mask

I was lying in bed this morning and realised how awful that first test is.

So if you cant see it, dont worry, youre not missing anything!

here's a quick test

needs more shadows on cheekbones and of course needs to have the hairy arms/legs etc. removed

Also, face needs proper time to blend in, but hey its a 5 min job!

I've scaled it down to half size due to forum restrictions.

I know it is not the final version that you gave me, but well here something i see on her arms

That is my feedback, the skin still cool. Don't imagine how you can improve it, but well i trust you !

Hi, that fully masked face with the padded gloves, the sweater and

the camoed mask, is not made by me; It Was Made By: Hit_Sqd_Ack.

I only added the camo & the sweater on it, but that's the only thing

hello there,

ahh thats due to the fact that the arm/hand textures are not "smudged" into the background colour enough, so the standard background shows through.

I will (hopefully! do some proper skins tonight for your enjoyment and critisism .

Here is the basic face, I don't have time to mess with the nose but when I get a day off from work in a couple weeks I'll have a look into it.

lmao. looks more like michael jackson than a "female".

Nice "Robber Face" Hit_Sqd_Ack but the file is too large (over 100 KB) and so wont work in mutliplayer. is ther any way of reducing the size??

Resize it to 256*256

thnx but i found a far easier way to do it. open it with paint then save it. then its like 35kb without doing anything! weird huh

Ah yeah, wrong read. Paint is crap for image quality.

May i suggest ya Paint.net , it's better than paint and freeware.

Hi, when i finish any of the custom faces that i've made, they don't

take more than 63Kb once in .jpg, but... once in the HD... take like

between 10 & 17Kb more, and when i upload it to internet... they

gain other 10 or 15Kb. I don't know how the compression works, but

that "small thing" costed me my last warning level. That they wont

go down because the same rules applyed for the rest, are not the

same forum rules applyed to me; "don't ask me why...". Let's C ya

Following Wipmans and ShadowNX's Advice. I attempted a new face:

I used textures from Google searching things like Camo T-shirt / Gloves etc.

What you think. Please Critizise can advise  

Oh heres another one that i done in around 5 mins. But i still like it

Hi, don't look bad at all, but keep in mind that if that's a mask, it

shouldn't be transparent, and the gloves... remind me to the gloves

that madona used in the 80's; and i think that this days too... ;

i'll had added a small shadow for mark the uper side of the holes

in the arms sleeve. And i also will not have the choosen the spanish

army camo, as a good fella says "army is an Acronim for: Marines.

And means that you're not good enought yet." Also i think that the

camo part over the nose wont gonna align well with the nose, you've

left an uncovered line in the left side of the nose (our left, as we see the texture; that's mirrored). But well... is a begining... keep

playing and you'll discover more fun things. Let's C ya

you've a .psd into a 5.10Mb .rar file where you can see better how

i did/do the camo painted faces; this time the .psd have the layers

in folders (Gloves, Sleeve), english names again for all what i know

it's english name... & spanish names for what i don't know it's name
