Hi, yeah Major, i could do it; but i need a better explain on what

you exactly want. Just the gloves with the Union Jack?, the balaclava

with the Union Jack too...? or what your saying, i don't get it. Let's C ya

just a normal coloured balaclava (blackish, greenish watever) but the gloves are completely union jack if u know wat i mean. so the fabric has union jack on it. with fingers sticking out the ends like usual. hope u understand. cheers

Hi, i've made a face template for the Photoshop users, that may help the

players to do they're own custom face, with a partial mask, gloves, camo

and sleeves.

It have each element ordened by folders, to know where to go to edit

whatever you want, faster. Sadly... i don't have any server or FTP server,

so this download link will only be available until the next saturday; so catch

it now. It's a .rar file of 7.032.283 bytes.

Here is my first custom face, I CANT GET IT TO BE UNDER 100 MB, i open it in every picture program i have and save it as 640x640, it is under 100 then when i upload to photobucket and post it here it is over 100 MB. Any time i get it under 100 and save it 512x512 it doesnt work in game i get an error message when game loads up. Wippman i was wondering if u could save it and open it in one of ur programs and get it under 100 MB then post it here.-DaChevs

if you're using photoshop do "save for web" which will give you better control over quality vs. filesize.

Thanks PieSpy, but i probably should have done that before, i had to send it over my email to a different computer because the one i have photoshop on is not the one i play ArmA on. thanks though.

Hi here is my face, it is usable, sorry about the quality, it is not bad though, it works for me, i saved it on high, but...i dont know but the file got to lage.

Hi, well DaChevs... sorry man but for me it have very few graphic

quality; look at those pixels man, they're huge like the twin towers

when they were standing up. Check the last .psd template that i

did and play a bit with it, maybe you could get a better graphic

quality using it as starting point. I just don't know why that face

have so big pixels man, sorry. Let's C ya

why not save it on high quality then open it in pain then save it with paint (cutting the KB). the qualities gotta be better than that piece of crap (no offence DaChevs)

well, when i open it with paint it usually goes t 700 KB, but idk i will try that.

Wow there are alot of people doing Great custom faces. They all look awesome. I specially appreciate andy-uk making the face pack using .paa files, so ATI users can enjoy these too. So, thank you andy-uk.

I have a question.

I have the "big" pixle problem as well. Would anyone be willing to tell me the best way to get a better quality picture? I have a couple of faces I would like to use, but they are not up to quality.

I have read that you can save the picture somewhere else, as a high quality picture(where??) and then open in PS to cut the size. Can someone please tell me where this can be done and how?

Hi, well Major Blood, i don't really know why happens that supah

pixelated thing; but i can guarantee you that if you open any of

the faces that i did in the Photoshop (any version) and chose:

"Save As" and save it over the original, then you can choose the

ammount of Kb that it gonna take.

Keep in mind that it takes (in 512x512) between 10 to 17Kb more

of what it tells you (once in the HD) so a face, that the Photoshop

tells you that gonna take +55Kb... in the HD it'll take like +68Kb and

if you upload it to internet (as i do) add other 13 to 23Kb. I never

did a face in a bigger resolution than 512x512; notice that the sample

face that placebo released... have really low low wow how low

quality, it have pixels big as a ******' cathedral. So i'll never do

a 1024x1024 face for that reason, also i'll never choose that face

as the base face where apply camos or do a mask, due to it's

really really low uggly and annoying low quality.

But anyway, it can be done with the Photoshop (from the 6 to

upper versions afaik) and can be done as i've said before; i hope

that this info serves to you Major, and to other players too.

Hi, Major Blood, in the photoshop, when you chose: "Save As" you

chan chose then and there, in what formate you want to save it

(i.e: .jpg, .png, .gif, .tga etc) and, previous to this formate small

window... there's another small window that's for chose the path

and the file name, then; is when you can chose the quality with the

bar under the box where enter the name. Slide that bar to the left

and chose a quality of 5 to 7, if you don't gonna upload it to IN and

then you're done. THe 1St step to all this is get a Photoshop, from

the 6.0 to the latest version. Let's C ya

Can somebody do a Bear Grylles face? (the guy from man vs wild) It would be cool to go out into the woods with him But really, can anybody do it for me?

Hi, i've made a new face based on a mask, i think. 100% (OD)Green wool for the mask

and a kind of (W)DPM for the net in the neck and the gloves, & kind of Ork tattoo for

the arms ala WHFRPG.

Hi, i don't know DaChevs... i told you already how i do and save

the custom faces that i did; and i already told you too that that

face that you've chosen as base face, it's already Low Quality =

Low Resolution, even in the 1024x1024 version of that face, released

by Placebo... or in the .paa version that was inside the ArmA 1.04

MP Demo... it haves so few quality that it annoys me, i get angry

just with see that .paa that face shouldn't be there; im almost sure

that if you choose, another face as base, it'll look much more better

and not so damn low-res/low-qual as that face. Try the .psd in

the 1St post of this tread man. Let's C ya

Hi, another new custom face, i think that it can't work as camo unless you be in a

shopping mall with an AK47 and ammo enought for the dependants and the cops, but well,

who knows...

hi guys...am trying my hardest to get a custom face on.

when on the profile editor i only have defualt face or then the named one .... i do not see a setting to use custom face....could someone please help me as i am getting very frustrated and cant understand it....thanks for any reply.

Hi, you've to take any of this faces in .jpg and rename it as: face

then copy it inside you're: C:\Documents and Settings\USER\My documents\ArmA\

folder; run the game, go to the player profile and go to the Edit,

section. And there should appear the "Custom Face" or "Custom"

option, choose it, save it... and then run the game editor and check

if it works; it should work. Let's C ya
