505 Games asked the sites to gather opinions, I should think that this is an exception to that rule.

I have a feeling that 505's intention was for the Fan/squad sites to carry out the research within their own site forums (if they have them). They [505] are probably trying to make sure that they don't miss any possible sources of feedback and prevent any alienation, and so approached these sites. It's free Market Research for them at the end of the day.

I would have thought that if they wanted to query the Official BIS forums again they would have gone through Placebo, or official routes (as in the previous post relating to a similar subject i.e. the Special edition pack)

Edit 1: But to answer their query:

[*]The first of the screen shots (the Text at the top of the box) is far better as it catches the eye better and draws ones gaze down the box to the image.

[*]The later design (text in the middle(ish)) plays with the eye and caused a slight hesitation (in my case any way), the text in the middle(ish) breaks up the box and doesn't work quite as well

Edit 2: Maybe this Topic should have been a poll, you would probably have got better statistics and it may ten aid you in coming to a conclusion.

Well well. We think this is big enough to announce on the BI Boards, after all. Where else on these boards can you find the exact release date and the box covers?

personally I'm not bothered. I've been waiting since Red Hammer for Armed Assault (or 'game 2' ).

I think they should stop faffing about and get it released in english, looking at torrent sites and news servers and all the language conversions, Bohemia have lost alot of money already. I mean some torrents have been leached 2-3 thousand times, put that into money and thats potentially money for a next game. Their own loss though for taking so long and having a daft release schedule.

+ why 505. They're a second rate budget game distributor with no mention of a PC on their website never mind Armed Assault.

All I want is the game I've been waiting for, for so long.

If you're in the UK check the computer fairs, their are german versions being sold with conversion files burned to seperate cd's.

There's an existing 25 page thread about the special edition contents that I created when I spoke to 505 the first time.
