Javito1986 0 Posted August 8, 2006 I have a question concerning a mission editing option which doesn't seem to be working in Liberation 1941. I used FDFMod for this comparison. If I have a group and I want to set a trigger to activate when x amount of soldiers in that group are dead I would use the condition line "West countSide (units group1) < 5" where it would activate when the group has less than five remaining soldiers. That works fine. Then I like to have a little text pop up that says "Booyah" or some such so that I know it worked. In Liberation '41 it is not working for me at all. I have the same situation but with a USSR squad. Give the condition "USSR countSide (units group1) < 5" and nothing happens. No text, nothing seems to happen at all. RN Malboeuf 12 Posted August 8, 2006 "USSR countSide (units group1) < 5" USSR (and Axis ) is not ingame command You have to use East\West when scripting. I have only a couple gripes; It seems that units who are placed to defend an area don't fire on advancing units nearly as much as they are supposed to. trini scourge 1 Posted August 8, 2006 ok this time i'll explain in detail There is a german attack squad advancing to secure a russian-held town. During the course of this advance, the germans execute excellent manouvers (cover fire, flanking, surpressing fire) and take the town without losing a single unit. The russian defenders on the other hand, fire only a couple shots during the entire episode, and lose every single defender (including snipers in windows and on rooves). I have also reversed roles i.e. Germans defended while Russians attacked, with the same results. In both cases setbehaviour "combat", and hold waypoints were given to the defenders, while move waypoints at full speed were given to the attackers. Also when the kurs_mg=true command is used for the t34, the course machinegunner jumps out and climbs on the back of the tank, when the tank then becomes engaged he falls into formation as if he were a separate unit. belgerot 33 Posted August 9, 2006 This patch was well worth the wait, the additional units look amazing in game and new additions such as PTRD and new animations have proven themselves well. My only complaint is that the Flak 18 gun model isn't solid, so it can be walked through although I am not sure if that has been addressed yet. Don't be afraid to post bugs , guys We appraciate such feedback and it makes testing easier for us. there're dozens of small bugs found at the moment - so you can expect hotfix to be released soon. I had a Russian hammer strike of troops and T-34 tanks assaulting a German held town in the test mission I did. The Germans faught back ferociously and killed many of the Russians troops assaulting. I tried playing on both the Russian side and German side with the same results. Trini Scourge, you may have some kind of Ai conflict or something perhaps. Are you running anything like @ECP or something with this mod? Definitely send them your mission so they can test it or post it up somewhere so all of us can check it out. I totally forgot that the MP44 was only produced in the later parts of the war, although I thought the Panzerfaust was used by 41...but I guess not. At any rate, I am greatly enjoying this mod! Now we just need some good Russian WWII maps. Poor Nogova is getting blasted to pieces. But the germans need an at weapon, at the moment they are to weak against the KVs and the T34 in the mod... of course it was so in the past, but the germans need a chance. Let's hope we will se a Panther or a Tiger soon... By the way, was the patch the last project from the modteam, or will you still work on you projects? I hope the mod doesn't go the same way as a lot of mods during the last weeks... all have given up their work because of the upcoming Armed Assault...
