FFUR 2006 2.0 Total conversion pack

Quote[/b] ]BTW, most players cannot hit a man-sized target 500 m away in one shot with an assault rifle. I certainly cannot. Maybe you could, but then you're a freak of nature

At 500m using a standard issue M16A2 service rifle with open sights I can get a head or body shot about 7/10 times. Prone position of course. I might be a freak of nature but it is very possible in real life and should be so in the game. pistols.gif

either u guys have poor aiming but i can tk ppl down from ranges of around 500+ wth 1 shot it jst takes practise and carful positioning only take the shot if u can take him if not find a better position and take the shot its not hard use the combat roll its exstremly useful

It's not a question of us having poor aiming. Even if we do get the first guy on our first shot, his buddy beside him is gonna take me out with his AK-turned-deathray.

And my aim is fine, thank you. I can get plenty of first shot hits at up to 300 m, but beyond that, I don't even try. Even if I can, it's because the OFP-engine can be exploited to do so, not because it's realistic.

And I used to think that we ALL wanted realism here, but I guess not.

It's also possible in real life to win a $50 million dollar lottery. Doesn't mean it's PROBABLE. Chances are you'd just give away your position IRL.

EDIT: Wait, you mean with a real M16A2 in real life right? You think you can hit a target 7/10 times when you do NOT know that the target is 500 m away? And when the target is wearing camo? And when the target is *prone*?

I honestly don't think so. Most things go beyond firing ranges, where the target is clearly defined and you know all the important factors like range, etc. And where you can practice repeatedly to get a 7/10 score.

...and then one of their guys shoots your other guy, and then one of your guys shoot that guy, then another one of their guys shoots your other other guy...Pretty soon, you're dead, there's 12 dead bodies with 12 used bullet cases around them because the fight was finished so quickly with one shot kills.

I'm on D-scythe side completely.

When you all see your squad dead from only against 2 ai soldier than you know its unrealistic. FFur 2006 was perfect with the Ai. Its not about been good or bad at shooting its about then russian been too good. I wonder who trained them?  huh.gif

What was the skill of that lone soldier? Skill matters alot in determining AI accuracy.

I've installed those island packs and i noticed how the ground textures are different on Everon, Malden and Kolgujev, but the trees haven't changed, is that meant to happen?, does it only replace trees on Nogova or something?

I've placed all the folders from the pack into the ffur2006 folder. Any ideas?

I'm sorry, if this was asked before, but the search didn't come up with useful results. So who is the interpreter of the "FFUR Main Theme" (FFUR 2006 V1.0). I know the song is called "Motherland".

Youe need to replace the originals of BI (located in "Drive:\Program Files\Operation Flashpoint\Worlds).

Thanks for the suggestion. But I already did this. Unfortunately the quality is bad, IMO.

I'm not sure, because I can definitely see the new ground textures but no new trees. The BRD_EN.pbo addon, does that anything to do with no new trees?

Yes, this file "actually are the trees". Put it in your Resistance Addon folder.

I used OGG Drop. And the other problem is, I don't have "old" Music.pbo anymore.
