Goodsport 0 Posted January 23, 2002 In the game, why does that one soldier call that other soldier "meathead"? -G
FetishFool 0 Posted January 23, 2002 Well, kind of hard to say. He could mean anything. But it's an insult. Calling him a moron. The brain is 100% muscle. Not a mixture of useless fat and muscle, like our regular muscles are like. Meat is like our regular muscle. Pretty useless, but pretty nice to chew on. Not saying that I eat humans, but it's not much different from eating steak.

Goodsport 0 Posted January 24, 2002 But with that soldier's voice and voice-acting, does he have the right to call any of the other soldiers "meathead"? -G

InqWiper 0 Posted January 25, 2002 Dont pick on the voice, the guy behind the voice might read this forum and never say a word ever again :-P I have people in my class with worse voices, and I cant say mine is the best one I have ever heard either :-P
Goodsport 0 Posted January 27, 2002 I didn't really mean to pick on the voice... honest! Hopefully, the guy behind the voice continues to call that other soldier "Meathead" for years to come, including at his squad's yearly post-war reunions! -G

Playing as one of the soldiers in OFP, yet being old myself in real life, I guess it's easy to forget that most soldiers when starting out are usually between 18-20 years of age - which is another thing that sets OFP apart from other military games like Ghost Recon or Delta Force, where you already start off in a Special Forces unit (where the soldiers are typically in their mid-to-late 20's, since they've already served in the military for some time). And the fact that they're school kids just truly starting out life (and that many of them die throughout the war) does indeed drive home the point of how wasteful war is! Guest Posted February 11, 2002 I was kinda hoping Fowly and Kozlowski would live through the campaign as comic-relief characters. Kozlowski: Hey Armstrong you look scared, did you fill your pants or something? Armstrong: I don't know Kozlowski, wanna take a look? LOL, classic!
