Which flag for a fictional country?

Starting a MOD for a country that doesn't exist is kinda hard. i can see why BIS didn't make a good flag for the FIA. but any-rate. here's the fork, after creating a few flags there was a vote that went out. that vote is split    (can't tell ya which ones or you'll be like "ha i'll vote the one thats split") but here comes the tie-breaker: the community! so look 'em over and vote. don't be afraid to comment on a good idea (like join the featre of this one and this one).

I'd scrap the last one as I'm assuming you took North Korea and changed it a bit. It still just looks like North Korea (unless you want that look?)

can't tell you much... but what i can tell you is:

there will be fighting in the MOD

can't tell you too much because it might just collapse and "bye bye mod" but hopefully not

Lose the red color, put in some green or sumthing and change the logo to one no one has (no stars or other countries logos)

This is a rebelling party that is a combination of communism and fascism/militarism (Military general controls government and the common people control properties, education, and currency).

it will rebel against a democratic nation (also fictional but still working out the flag situation and stuff).

Well ya, thats a bit better...no info is hard to work with.

China, Russian and Belerus all use red flags and stars so perhaps your #4 fits that theme the best for that type of government.

yeah but its also Fascist too. thats a tricky flag to make, mixed with Communism. I tried to add black and white as best as i could (somewhat of a hint that the government is Fascist)

You could just replace the swastika from a Nazi flag with an emblem of your choice.

Fascism has nothing to do with left or right. Soviet had left wing fascism.

I like Llaumas too.. I went and had a look at the flags of the world and after looking at the certain countries which have 'troubles' was inspired to come up with this:

As we don't know anything about your intended fictional country or it's government, it's hard to choose a flag which may symbolize it well.

I'd suggest thinking about the meaning behind the colours and symbols and then base a flag around that.

ie. For the above flag you could read for example:

Black Bands: Mourning the many who died in the struggle for independance.

White Bands: Indicating that their is now peace.

Red Band: Symbolizing the revolution that led to becoming a country in it's own right.

Green Square: A youthful new country.

White Symbol: Commemorating the hero of the fight for independance and who died for the cause.

That's just an example, you can make the colours mean something else if you wanted?

Seems you haven't looked at many flags... Perhaps there to many shades on the AK, but there quite some detailed flags.

From the original options, number 4. Yeah, the reference (?) to communism etc, but I also like the colour combo itself. The 3rd is also nice but has too much black for a flag, and 1 and 2 have too much white plus a bit strange geometrical design IMHO. And the 5th looks like N-Korean flag, too real-life...

I'll see if I can come up with something, I'll start putting the real-life flag together and see what I come up with...
