Mapfact releases the MP-Mission "Escape from Nogova" by Chneemann

The players slip into the roles of nogovian policemen and volatile assassins, which broke out of Lipany prison.

An exciting "cat-and-mouse" game begins in which everyone must to foresee the next step of the opponents in best "Scotland Yard" manners.

Will the assasins succeed to leave the island at one of the three escape possibilities?

Nice.

I liked the Serialkiller mission a lot, perhaps you know it.

The serialkillers had to assassinate some civilians, the police had to stop them.

I'll definetly try this mission out, as it is a quite familar mission type smile_o.gif

I think I've played this mission about 2-3 years ago, but I can't remember on details.

But I also can't remember why I started this mission. whistle.gif

I think there are still some MP-Servers out in the OFP-wold wink_o.gif

Maybe Mapfact make a public session on friday.

But the spoken language, however, is German.

[ 08.02.06 / Public MP-Evening ]

After several requests about where to play the new MP mission "Escape from Nogova" made by Chneemann, we decided to open up our Mapfact gameserver again to the public.

This Friday, all you guys are invited to play on our server from 7 o'clock PM (CET = UTC+1) till late.

All participants have to download all addons that are required (10MB) for the mission in advance!

Teamspeak and a working microphone are obligate.

The spoken language, however, is german.

i made a similar mission - a remake of the 'Serial Killer' mission (http://5133p39.wz.cz)

try searching for "eVAC" in the server string, we are playing it often.

Sorry, what doesn't work?

As to a session in english - maybe by the end of February. We will tell you the date as soon we have one. Refreshing our english speaking skills will take a while though, I'm afraid! tounge2.gif

But anyway, if you got the time this evening, your welcome to check in. The mission is translated and there's not to much to talk about in it. So we could try to make it some kind of bilingual... wink_o.gif

@bilingual: Hm, someone should translate the plan atleast as sidechat... wink_o.gif Because I could bet that you're not playing the mission everytime the same way.

Guess we can manage that.

Another point is: we're using two TeamSpeak channels anyway so that neither side can hear the other. Playing the criminals would only require one of us to speak english and the other won't be disturbed.

The links on our website should work, don't they? Can't test it atm, still in the office.

Thank you for the games, the mission plays very balanced, and is great fun on either side. Favorite moments were the fast deployments with the helicopter as police, and racing past police cars on a speedy KMR as the fugitive. smile_o.gif

That's true, indeed. And guess what? Tomorrow ist saturday. And starting at 1900 o'clock CET there'll be the next public Escape session! welcome.gif

I had great games tonight, too bad my connection cut out in (for me) the last match.

Altough I would suggest some changes if you plan to update the mission.

- Switch the terrorists to civilian clothes, after all, they just escaped prison. Also, this way terrorists can act like civilians and reenact OFP AI to fool the police.

- To compliment this, adding a random time to update the markers, from 20 seconds to 2 minutes, so you can't expect when the marker will update.

- Also to compliment the first point, add random faces to the terrorists, that way, custom faces won't give out the terrorists if they infact come close to police in civilian clothes.

- Maybe have a vareity of police with different weapons, like adding some Black Ops as SWAT units who are the Fast Response Team from the helicopter. With a good pilot, they are really usefull.

(Thumbs up to Sniping Jack and Lockheed Martin$ch for being great pilots)
