DMA Anim Pack 1.1 - nextGen -Handgun 1.0

As the last DMA animation release thread that has been "bumped" was now about an obsolete DMA animation pack, i requested to Hellfish6 to close it so i can create a new thread about the last version.

This way, the user that has not followed the DMA release day thread will not be confused.

These releases are part of the DMA Release Day thread.

So if you got them from that thread, no need to redownload.

DMA Animation pack 1.1

This animation pack is an improvement rework of the previous DMA animation pack 1.0.

Included are the Classic and Patrol versions and some variations for the AI only stand ready animation

DMA Animation pack nextGen

This animation pack has a different feeling than the 1.1 pack, so it is meant as an alternative that concept was first to "recreate" the stand aiming that can be seen on this kind of screenshot of the next generation game from BIS (that's why the 'nextGen' name of this pack)

Included are the Classic and Patrol versions , a "backbone" animation file to help animators, and some variations for the AI only stand ready animation.

A rework of the sancpistol anims , if you prefer to use the DMA pistol animation pack 1.0 , please remove every presence of the file sancpistol.pbo before installing this new one, it could lead to some incompatibility problems.

NOTICE : there is now an improved version of the DMA Pistol Animation pack

You are free to use/modify/change/release anything you want based on those packs or in your own modifcation without having to ask for permissions to DMA members.

Credits to Dynamic Mission Alliance would be appreciated though.

Alternative Stand Reload

Due to several request, here are the alternative stand reload animation files in which the units will now stay standing in the wilderness to reload and will not crouch before doing it anymore.

2 different files , depending on which pack you use ( 1.1 or nextGen ) are included.

Read the included readme for more informations (prepare your UnPBO 1.5 and MakePBO/StuffPBO programs)

These animations packs are thus far the best ones ever carried out for OFP, definately incorporating'em to the incoming FFUR releases...

Very nice work once again but Sanctuary would you please consider reintroducing the standing up reload animation. I for one realy don't like that I am forced to drop to the knees for reloading I can do that my self perfectly fine and I would like to have the other option. huh.gifsmile_o.gif

No sorry, it will not happen from me.

I made this to force the AI to crouch before reloading without having to use a script because i had enough to see those foolish AI to stand in the wilderness reloading , making big targets.

Now at least they offer a lower profile when they decide to reload while standing.

How about making it an optional version? Such as the Patrol/Classic variations of the pack etc.

Its a pain in MP, as the enemy for me will be crouched whilst reloading, but to them (as the server doesn't use the animation mod) I'm standing and am thus cut down by PK fire in short order...

When i will have more time , i will make the stand reload animation standalone, so it will be up to the user to replace it himself inside the .pbo as 1 animation is not worthy of a whole new pack release.

I would love to see some standup animations for law/rpg/AA firing animations, also lying would be great to have, specially when the AI could use the animations too. Would support immersion for interesting ambush missions.

maybe try to contact Locke@Germany, i remember he wrote something about stand/prone AT to add in his anim config mod , along the lean/roll.

Maybe he could help you to "config" your animation.

Nah, don't think that will be necessary, I allready figured it out, I think. smile_o.gif Although I'm not sure how good my animations will be confused_o.gif

Unfortunately, BIs config-ed the units having only handgun the same as having a primary rifle.

So when you use weapon on back with handgun , it will launch the same animation as the primary rifle "weapon on back"

And so for the patrol version of the anims pack , it will load the "patrol"-like animation.

Other than making config changes to introduce new animations classes (if it is possible) , i am afraid there is no solution to this.

NB : Just a question just for my knowlege, why and i'm happy of this but why you could do just an Addon to remplace the Pistol Anim And not For the Other Anim huh.gif

looking cool i tried out the nextGen ones about 20 mins ago and there great but one tip spread there legs slightly more so there in a more sterdy position and then with the whole right arm higher it so its more of a right angle shape arm to their body

No, no, no! I’m use DMA Animation Pack and nothing happen!

You must or add collar for hide neck EDF soldier or make neck longer for model….. Please, think about in future release version EDF pack.
