I agree with Shadow. I was going to mention the same thing but he beat me to it.

AK's and Pk's,T54s and T62s

FnFals/FNC's with MAG or MG3's would be an idea.

Just my opinion.

You can be western aligned and not have U.S weapons.

AKs and T-series tanks are cliched Resistance-side weapons though. I'd rather see some less common stuff, be it European, US, Russian, whatever.

everon would be very lucky to even have an army, look on the island, there's no civilized place to work, you can farm, that's about it. how could a country of farmers afford such luxuries as abrams & everything. i would suggest using russian equipment. afterall, after 'CWC' i'm sure there were plenty of russian vehicles left around; the US would take all of its back with them, they wouldnt leave them to a bunch of peasants. if you hadn't already made the things i'd say making them a special unit of a powerful neighboring countrys forces, but either way, equipment aside, they look quite nice. good job!

I think the most important thing would be to stick to stuff that is readily avaliable...their are ALOT of good unused addons floating around the ofp community theres definately enought to make a fictional army...just a thought...

Well, you can always say that the government of Everon is not limited to just one isle, but instead to a chain of islands or that the island is right off the coast.

CanadianTerror, is that an AMX-13 or a Steyr SK105 at the bottom? Either way, I think that'd be a pretty awesome AFV for the EDF.

In terms of economy, what's to say that Everon isn't an ex-colonial protectorate that recieves the odd bit of funding from the old power to put towards defending themselves? Granted, it'd be more realistic if they were equipped with that nation's cast-offs, but it'd be more fun if they had a hotchpotch of different kit if you ask me.

That was exactly my first idea for the vehicles: EE9's, EE11's and AMX-13's. But I replaced the EE11 with the UR416

There will certainly be some Russian equipment, but I try to limmit that since Russian equipment is already pretty much covered in NAFP. It would be nice to see some western equipment too

thinking that after the Everon War in 1985, NATO would probably have been eager to arm and train the new army of the island republic of Everon, thus more or less giving away weapons and equipment for free, that would make Everon use mainly western equipment, such as older M60 tanks, M113 APC, M16 rifles, and M60 machineguns, or maybe G3 rifles and MG3 or FN MAG machineguns..

the russian equipment would however have been kept untill they literally fall apart, remember they where not in good shape even during the Everon wars..

the ex german APC fits very well as a light wheeled APC, but their tanks should be a mix between T55, T62, T64, M60 and maybe a few AMX-30 if they dont use Leo 1 tanks...

remember, NATO would more or less have forced them to use NATO equipment... (thinking about Finland after ww2 when Soviet forced finland to use only russian equipment) and the Governement would also probably have been installed by NATO, but if it´s NATO friendly after 20 years is another history (it has happened before that nations have turned against their "Liberators"

so actually i think it´s a good idea to give Everon a bunch of older NATO equipment...

and since they quite recently was in a war they´d probably have quite a big military... mostly consisting of reserves.

but since Everon is a fictional nation you are free to do whatever you like with it...

but considering the nations history it would fit well with old NATO or american equipment..

Sure, Everon will never be able to afford a huge army, but think about "after the cwc war".

US stuff is allready there and the "everon forces" are mostly financed by the US.

Everon should be more like an armed outpost, so I would like to see more western than eastern stuff.

I would like to see stuff like in Germany when the wall was up. 1 side modern western equipment other side russian equipment!

Like F-4 phantoms and or tornados on 1 side and other side they have like a mig29.

And I would like to see something like that on nogova. Some older stuff from russia. And newer more modern stuff from the US. Or some really new stuff from Europe like Pilatus aircraft, and other europian aircraft manufacturers!

I would like to see the same as manhunter said, a little bit of both. It would be boring seeing only Eastern or Western equipment in use, take a look at RBiH for example. They have a good amount of Western weaponry though they still use native equipment.

Even my country of Poland is using Leo 2A4s and F-16s mixed in with Mig-29s and T-72s.

I reckon a mix of equipment is good. US supplied, but with Russian and Euro gear too.

The New Iraqi Army uses AKs ordered by the US doesnt it? So even US supplied isnt necessarily going to be US gear.

Some older French equipment wouldnt be a bad idea either (due to the French names on the map)

For small arms, what about something like a Mat49 for the regular troops? This keeps a west feel, keeps the budget low ands also gives them a uniquess to Nogovan Forces for example.
