CSLA 2 Update1

Recommended Posts

hope VBS1 team/BIS team won't hire them before they release those units. confused_o.gif

I really don't think so smile_o.gif

But, we have some other "not ACR" projects too... wink_o.gif

Just looked at this picture and to say i'm impressed is an understatement. They're very high quality indeed.

1) What units are the red and green berets representing.

2) Will all the models come in long and short sleeved versions.

3) Have the CSLA weapons been updated also.

4) Have you made your own face pack to go with Llaumas head model

I think I can answer these:

1) Red beret - paratroopers, green beret - reconnaisance.

2) Probably yes, as far as I know and had chance to try.

3) Why? wink_o.gif

I just thought the SA-58 lacked a definitive sound and is by far the, for want of a better word, crappiest weapon in your entire pack. But if it realy sounds like that then i'll retract my question  tounge2.gif. Or are these units not going to be using the CSLA weapon pack...

Yesterday for OFP - now for VBS1.

OFP

THE SAME FOR VBS1 AS "Terrain Pack 3"

news/t32.jpg

news/t37.jpg

Yesterday is free soft -  now ?

When I wrote this text I had hope that BIA will include these addons in ArmA (like a  nice gifts for all players & OFP community).

I’m happy that BIA notice hard work in community and support team like CSLA.

It’s will looks like a perfect model : BIA notice good project, support it and offer consumers professional version in final products.

On the 7th of January Terrain Pack 3 (one of Modules for VBS1)  released - contains Lizardia Island.

21th of January BIA has released USARMY1 module for VBS1. Is it OFP COMBAT MOD’s works?

In February guys from CSLA MOD informed that they works on OPFOR Module 2 (contains new versions all they OFP addons)

At official screens from ArmA we can see helicopters looking like BAS addons

How chance to see some of these addons too in ArmA ?

Silesian, we have nothing to do with development of Armed Assault and were not asked by BIS for anything we have, but there is certain possibility some of our free addons for VBS will be converted for ArmA.

Regarding the new units Python Art guys made, I am sure they will make release for ArmA as soon as they convert the models and textures. Most of their projects will be released for Armed Assault, but it is better to ask Jagy for this. I agree that ACR troops are simply begging for new engine.

Mr Reality, the sound of Sa-58 currently in mod is the sound recorded from original weapon's fire (we have many other recorded sounds in the mod - armor, helicopters). It is crappy because it sounds crappy in real. We are aware of this and as Maa wrote, we tried to get some "mightier" sound to satisfy the gamers.

I suppose the problem comes from sound recording or sound editing rather than from the weapon itself, look (or hmmm hear) to the FDF Mod sounds, I don't know what they used but all their sounds are really impressive.

Cervo, I know what you mean. We recorded it in the same way as other stuff (which is good), but we have no sound specialist, so I there may be some fault on our side.

But Sa-58 HAS dull sound. We have recorded blank fire, which is a little louder than live rounds. We can adjust volume first and see if it's good enough, or we replace the sound with the new one.

The Swedish mod has very impressive weapon sounds IMO...some of the best Ive heard for OFP.

Maybe they have some tips?

Just a thought.

To bad that Operation Lacerta for CSLA wasn't released

http://games.tiscali.cz/flashpoint/pics/csla2lacerta_europa_01.jpg this is now a part of VBS right?

Yes it is, but it is not exact topic of this thread. It is here for you to praise or criticize CSLA Mod and its upcoming patch, but it is not related to our other projects. Please stay on topic, thank you. smile_o.gif

@raedor: I wish people finally get it. smile_o.gif
