shinRaiden 0 Posted May 21, 2005 It's currently a mess. OFP expects the stringtable.csv to be an ASCII coded text file, then Windows reads it matches the hex code to the local system code page, then passes the char onto OFP. It would be so much simpler and helpful if the stringtable was saved in UTF-8 or UTF-16 and handled directly. Along with that, it needs to render fonts directly not use the texture fonts. That way we can have true CJK support. RTL is needed too.
-MP-OFP-CRICON 0 Posted May 22, 2005 hope OFP:AA and OFP2 support Chinese

baff 0 Posted May 23, 2005 Damarai bakarow gao. "shut up gypsy face" Whatever the native langauges are for the respective forces please and subtitles for the rest of us. I don't really fancy Czech subtitles only, so English would be good for me.

nx_illusion 0 Posted May 23, 2005 Russian must be there! BECOUSE ITS A SLAVIC GAME!!! Russian: Amerikanzi na mosty proshu artilleriju! English: Americans are on the Bridge request artillery! Ok. :/
Xanthus 0 Posted May 24, 2005 Russian must be there! I agree. There are many players (at least in my country) who prefer russian to english, though we ar Balts. Russian soldiers should also speak russian, because russian conversations sound way better than english in a war simulator like ArA.
Ekan 0 Posted September 27, 2005 Hi all! This is my first post on BI Forum. As all I'm a fan of opf and I 've been playing it 4 years, yet. I'm from Barcelona (spain) and my english is not good . So..., I'm really interested on languages translations for ArAs. I don't know if other spanish players have the same problem like mine. In game, my sounds are in english ,like "contact", "stealth", etc., but the other is correctly translated to spanish (menus, writed messages like "contacto" (contact), instructions, etc.). Then when I'm playing MP there're many languages writed (italian, french, english, some languages like "Aaň Iâá") but sounds are in english. This is normal? Think not I hope that BI will translate the sounds of the game to spanish. Can opf autotranslate the writes and the sound of the action menu? For example when a english player uses 1-1-6, it write 1: halt , and it sound "halt" in english. Could my opf translate and write 1: Alto, and sound in spanish, or is an impossible thing Thank you all for your time and see you later.

(if you´re not swedish you probably wont understand)
