NUT NBC units. Based on the NUT_UUSMC and FML_anbc addons.

1. ADDON CONTENT

----------------

This addon contains a set of soldiers wearing Urban-T camouflage.

In addition to that they are equiped with a gasmask. The functions

on this addon are the same as on the FML_ANBC addon. Only the

flashlight action has been removed.

The Gasmaks is the US M40 series. The gasmaks can be put on and

taken of with the action menu.

2. INSTALLATION

---------------

Extract the .pbo file from the archive into your

Operation Flashpoint: Resistance â„¢ Addons folder or a mod folder

of your choice.

Make sure to have the latest version of Operation Flashpoint: Resistance

installed (currently 1.96)!

You will find the units under "NUT NBC USMC".

A group can be found in the groups menu.

Three 'multiplayer' units have been added with a permanent gasmask.

These three units don't use any script.

3. REQUIRED ADDONS

Any bugs with scripts and functionality should be directed to Mig of the

FML-mod, since it's originaly his work.

6. EDITING

----------

This model has been made with O2 and is released in MLOD format.

NO person will be given permission to modify the addon or to use parts of

it in his/her own addons.

The FML-mod being the ONLY exception. Because the addon is based on their

idea, model and scripts, the FML mod has permission to use, modify or do

anything they want with the gasmask model. Although credit has already

been given, I ones again wish to thank Mig for the great idea and scripts!

Well, the flashlight on the FML_ANBCunis was positioned high on the shoulder. Too high, since the Hyk unis have the flashlight much lower.

I know too little about cfg-writing that I wanted to try to change this.

I made this addon in two days and the config took me a week (I had a very silly bug that I finally cracked)

Nice work , joining two good but not THAT good addons in to a unique outfit which truly stands out then its predecssors.

Havent tried them yet but wanted to ask if the gas masks are turned on by some init code or are they by default alwasy there on the unit?

No, you can put them on with the action menu. It just has an extra action in it 'put mask on'.

If you want them on by default you can use the 'mp' units which have a permanent mask.

So... If I e.g. take the Chemical warhead Scud launcher, go and launch it, walk into the cloud, I die?

Yep. it would be very nice if I could make it work so you won't die, but I don't understand shit about scripting.

In order for the gasmaks to safe your life the script on the DSF chemical scud should be modified (it has nothing to do with the scripts in this addon). It must for example check if the gasmask has been put on, before it starts to do dammage. It can be done with a little work.

Looking very good indeed. Could do with some east units with NBC kit on as well. Russian soldiers would be good, but also, maybe re-doing some of the WYW Generic Opfor onThis thread might work well - gas-masked terrorist planting chemical bombs?? wow_o.gif

As much as I would like to take credit for this, the original idea was worked out by Mig from the Farmland mod.

Gasmasks have been discussed quite some time with the earliest discussion (that I know of) dating back a long time ago in the thread about the Marine assault pack by Suchey and Earl.

Mig was the first one to actually make it work.

Now it's only waiting for someone to actually make it work against chemical weapons.

Perhaps I'll try to make a gas-grenade (partially based on the chemical scud) to go with the addon. That would be nice.

But the gasmask is primarily for the looks of it. It just looks extremely cool IMO

About the pics you showed... What anims pack did you use? How did you use them?

it's the "Wilco's All in One Animation Pack". Note that those are static anims which are only good for pictures and cutscenes.

Wilco also released a replacement anim pack, but I don't have a link. It should be somewhere on the forum in A&M:C. Try searching for 'replacement anims'.
