and no it wasnt an attempt to show off the P51.. tbh it flies like shit right now. but that aside i was gonna release this sky pack.. but if the downloads are gonna = 0 then psh.. why bother? i made it for personal enjoyment. just want to see if anyone else would enjoy it

That's cool. Do you plan for a release on the mustang? Or is it just a personal-mess-around-with-addon (I have a ton of those on my HD)

I think these skies are nice, but most people will not use them purely because it requires a mod install (people are so lazy...)and isn't realistic (I know it's not meant to be) - in fact it looks more like a Windows desktop sort of thing... ie. is kind of out of place. However with the number of fantasy-fictional mods going on, you could probably use your fantastic skies there.

Looking at your storm pic got me thinking though...what would be really useful... is if somebody could retexture the lightning PAA file to something a bit more majestic than a dull blurry white line in sky... Is there anyway to make something like that luminous? I know there's a local flash effect on the map, but to have the lightning actually give off light would be awesome... and perhaps increase the instances of a lightning striking in game, and obviously change the creaky old muted sound of lightning to something more thunderous, echoey and basey. Anyway just a thought.

A whole new class of vehicles using existing configs,

units using chopper class with animated leg movements to move,

bubbles using drop command,

surface using a trigger to 'teleport' into another island .......

I got this question somewhat the same idea... I was thinking sometime back cant we make something like a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE wall very high, and put a picture on it like from a landscape horizon?

You could then sorta seal of a area, or make a small city and then use movie making tricks to fit the photo behind it so it looks like a huuuggge city???

Just like old movies, just shot in studio instead of on location! fake backgrounds! can it be done....?

No you wouldn't be able to make a HUGE wall (due to texture problems), but a smaller one would be possible. But then again, that would only be used for screenshots and other small things...which would be useless.
