quicksand 0 Posted February 10, 2005 The texture work on the island is impressive,1024x1024 is the way to go if you want quality and the performance hit isn't that semnificative. Big Dawg KS 6 Posted February 10, 2005 Great, great, I hope it is less laggy than newland, that was kinda laggy for me, er, kinda very laggy  . But, looks great keep it up! Same here. Newland was really nice, and very well done but it was pretty laggy. Homeland looks great, lots of varity on 1 island with alot of cool stuff. If it isn't too laggy it will be wonderful.  The biggest town is on the last screenshot with industrial area and 2 railways.   So It shouldn't be laggy. Just a thought, would it be too much hassle replacing the roof textures with a snowy texture? Unless its supposed to look like the temperature is above zero. No I can't they are not my objects, but all buildings on the winter part are from the Finnish Buildings pack, like Kumlinge Winter version. More pics of my custom trees, bushes pack (quite high textures, but this pack is more of an alpha version ). (bigger version) (bigger version) These bushes still need some tuning in brightness.
