IceFire 0 Posted January 2, 2005 Who did the voices for which characters? And why did some of the Russian soldiers have American voices?
MrZig 0 Posted January 2, 2005 Look on the firt page, and about the Russian-english thing. Why not? It's a comedy series so it doesn't have to make sense
galbaldy 0 Posted January 2, 2005 That was pretty funny. Hopefully this will attract more people to OFP. Btw, have you guys ever considered using an animation pack? It would probably allow you to act out more scenarios.
Chuck. 0 Posted January 2, 2005 Whoa whoa, we don't go all the way on the first date  obviously a virgin.   That was low... but then again I guess you do like going below the other man's belt.  nah not me. but some others want to take a blow down there.  Quote[/b] ]*see how i'm helping you with some ideas for new script? think of an ambush from an elevated position, and before commencing attack, two guys talk about it. player 1:Whoa whoa, we don't go all the way on the first date. Isn't ambush a bit coward? player 2:You are obviously a virgin player 1:I guess you do like going below the other man's belt. player 2:nah not me. but some others want to take a blow down there. sorry
Chuck. 0 Posted January 2, 2005 oh yeah, about the movie it was good
Guest Posted January 2, 2005 I think EvW was one of the funniest movies i have ever watched machinima-wise, some of the jokes only OFP players would get. I posted an article about this on the PC Gamer UK forums and they stamped all over it like it was complete rubbish! *Aims and spits at PCG UK forum* Well from now on, consider the BIS forums my home from home! Kuba 0 Posted January 2, 2005 Very nice. Could you add subtitles next time? Frank was quite hard to understand
Silent N Deadly 0 Posted January 3, 2005 If you turn up your speakers a bit or put on head phones then you can understand a bit better. But anyway subtitles, would be nice.
MrZig 0 Posted January 3, 2005 I don't think we'll be adding any subtitles in the near future ;)
Foxtrot87 0 Posted January 3, 2005 Quote[/b] ]Frank was quite hard to understand There are no Franks there Maybe you meant French. Zig, why can't we make subtitles? I think it's rather easy to do and makes it much easier to understand what people are saying.
Sophion-Black 0 Posted January 3, 2005 yeah... its simple, add it with the stringtable. BTW: what did the guy say when he whispered something and then said serving the USA?
The Real Armstrong 0 Posted January 3, 2005 That was funny. But why didn't you use original BIS skins? Kinda take the fun away from the name East vs. West. I mean, that's the point, the never ending fight between Easties and Westies and then these weirdo skins show up.
MrZig 0 Posted January 3, 2005 Skins? Do you mean faces? Units? About subtitles - I still don't think they are really that needed in EvW. Maybe if we get enough outcry in episode 2, we'll add them as an optional episode, but right now I can't think of any real reason of having any. If you can't understand them, you can up your volume, or we can up the volume when we are editing the film. I always found subtitles distracting from the sound, my opinion anyways. The Real Armstrong 0 Posted January 3, 2005 Yea, unit models, whatever.
DracoPaladore 0 Posted January 3, 2005 yeah... its simple, add it with the stringtable.BTW: what did the guy say when he whispered something and then said serving the USA? He said to "mark this day in red on the calender"
MrZig 0 Posted January 3, 2005 The unit models for the East side are still Russian.. And for west are USA/NATO.. What's bad?
The Real Armstrong 0 Posted January 3, 2005 The unit models for the East side are still Russian..And for west are USA/NATO.. What's bad? Yes, but it's an OFP series, so I reckon it'll be fun to squeeze in a few OFP jokes and clichés, thus having good ol' East/West BIS models. But it's your show, so if you don't want it, fine with me. Just be sure that you don't press the big button.
FragMASTER 0 Posted January 4, 2005 I could suggest that we make a script of everything said available. Therefore, we wouldn't have to go through all the trouble of adding subtitles.

OldEastSoldier(choking up): "Mommy never taught me how to wash my clothing." NewEastSoldier: "I don't get it." OldEastSoldier(openly sobbing): "My underwear is green and black, and my uniform is fading!"
IceFire 0 Posted January 4, 2005 Look on the firt page, and about the Russian-english thing. Why not? It's a comedy series so it doesn't have to make sense Ok, so it doesn't have to make sense. No wonder I was confused especially when the American sounding russian soldiers started talking about defeating the "Americans". I was left wondering why "American" soldiers would want to defeat the "Americans". At first I thought that they were American soldiers. When they started talking to the Russian guy on the radio I thought that maybe they were allies or something. See, it needs to make sense or else you confuse people. Get your act together people. MrZig 0 Posted January 4, 2005 What are you talking about? They are dressed Russian, they dont need to sound Russian. And you're the only one complained about it, and even if alot complained I'm not gonna tell all my other actors to screw off and try and get some more Russians in here. It also sets up future jokes. SilverBullet 0 Posted January 4, 2005 Heh... good stuff. I think it went a bit long but it was pretty good.... the west scout was the best part, didnt see it coming.
Milkman 1 Posted January 4, 2005 Believe it or not Icefire, but ONE of the East actors is actually Russian. Amazing isn't it?
Billabong81 0 Posted January 4, 2005 Haha, this is some great stuff . It is a lot like RvB, but that is fine IMO .
