Metalmalte 0 Posted September 1, 2004 hm, i like the feature with the numberplates on the CIV cars. on every island they change its name and number. but well thats always a feature of the mapmaker, cuz he can say what letters to use in the config.cpp, but i like that

The Real Armstrong 0 Posted September 3, 2004 I'm no addon maker but AFAIK you can't make an object undestroyable in that objects config, only very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very tough.
dm 9 Posted September 3, 2004 Actually, you can make things indestructable, just add Quote[/b] ]destrType = "DestructNo"; But, that is not the way its done for OFP's churches. Its part of the church simulation (along with bells that toll the time) for anything classed as a church type building to be physically impossible to destroy. Much like in early versions of the code, if you told a soldier to move to grid "He11" he would die (see BIS Fun site for picture)

edejl 0 Posted September 3, 2004 I was going to say 'What do I win'... But then I realised it is actually a house and not a Church. [Edit] wrong place

He orderd 2 to go to HE11 and right after he got shot. Why would BIS program such a thing anyway?

Easter eggs are coded to break up the monotony of coding something as large and complex as OFP, or any other large program.

redface 1 Posted September 3, 2004 The VW beatle in the movies "Love Bug" has the license plate number 'OFP 857' This is the thing you start seeing everywhere when you have been immersed too heavily in OFP. I see vbs and sqm numberplates all over the place. But that's another thread again
FatJoe 0 Posted September 3, 2004 I know It's one of those "you know that you've been playing OFP for too long when you... " kind of things.. which we are not going to start here. Cheers Joe
