quibbly 0 Posted January 8, 2002 I enjoy this game, and enjoy hosting a dedicated server (Quibblys Game Domain, Pure T-3). But has anyone noticed there are no posts about updates? There are no posts in regards to possible bug fixes? Has anyone noticed the lack of documentation in regards to how to make maps, proper weapon names and magazines (for addmagazinecargo). It seems we are directed to other sites to get this information, but not from the creators. It would seam, the creators of this fine game, are spending all their on their Government Contract? Wake up guys, we made them their money by purchasing this game, now they are turning their back on us. I for one, am frustrated with their lack of response. I would like to know the following: 1) When is the next patch coming out? 2) What are the future plans of OFP? 3) Are you going to allow the dedicated server to be able to turn off all the microphones? 4) How can we block the XML bug which is causing the servers to crash like crazy. 5) Why can't you guys create a dedicated server setting to run as a service? We shouldn't have to create our own, or purchase a program to do that for us. 6) Is your Dedicated server really setup to be ran as a service? If it was, we could type in the commands to make that so (for 2000, XP Pro) 7) Can we have more room to look at player ID's when using listplayers? 8) When the admins select "kickoff" on a players name, sometimes it doesn't work, put when I do that via command, it works? 9) Are you going to add a join feature like Counterstrike? These are some of the questions that have been asked around, but no answers from the creators. If you would be so happy to support us in the best way possible. Please contact him. He is on the www.wkk.dk site. That would be awesome. Oh yea..... You said you would be working on some fixes, but does that include the ability to switch off the voice comm in the game? Guys, do you want the developers to spend hours in the boards, explaining to you why something doesn't work and how they are planning to do it, and trying to analyze everything to pieces for your convinience? Or do you want the developers to simply point you in the right direction, and then go back to the code and actually fix it? Decide what you want: developers talking to you, or developers developing!? And while we're at it, developers are still humans, and they have a life too. Let them have it ffs! BIS are remarkable already when it comes down to bug fixes, add ons, and community dedication! Other companes stop supporting a game after 6 months!!! You should be grateful with what you have; stop whining! Leave them alone! Thumbs up to BIS!!!! Guest Posted January 8, 2002 Actually, for every thread like this one, BIS crosses off another feature they were planning to add. quibbly, grow up, will you? Who gives a rat's behind what you think anyway? I care about facts: fact #1: BIS gives A LOT OF SUPPORT. Look around. fact #2: Bug fixes ARE BEING addressed. Again, look around. fact #3: Patches have come out very quickly compared to other games. I think only Everquest has more patches! fact #4: You have no proof whatsoever that BIS is focusing on their "government contracts" more than this game. STFU and quit your whining.
