you know that in OFP you can also use M4's and AK's , G36s and Steir's , M1's and T80's , AH-64's and MI-24's nukes , LGB's , SABOT's , point 50's , the entire american, russian, french and finnish army...

Flashpoint is all about teh shooting, policing is not.

For those of us who liked the fdf patrol thing, a police officer campaign would be great, especially on the modern island (not sure of the status).

I like the SWAT idea too, it should be like a smaller PD where Swat officers have to patrol as well but can be called to a Swat call. So u could be patroling one minute, then riots or a hostage situation happens so you gear up with Swat stuff and go to those calls. I would definately play a mission like that.

I was thinking maybe someone could do Ghost in the Shell which was a futuristic thing. You could take the starship troopers weapons and mix in some civillian skins and you got like a cyberpunk thing. Mix in some BMWs too. But since ofp is restricted to killing it should be like situations where the only solution is to kill which shouldn't be hard, especially if you know that they are going to kill someone else or fire at you.

on ofpec there was a good mission called the eye of the pig; in that you play as a (kill 'em all redneck style) swat type law enforcement office. The mission is great and cessia fun is like gta if ya want that

What about a campaign that starts out as a police officer, but he gets "promoted" to SWAT status? That would be cool. Currenlty Gaia island is a good location for this campaign.

i would really love to see a police campain, seriously...i made this cop car just for police, but lets be truthful to ourselves...very VERY few people that make mods for ofp has the patients, dedication and profesionalism to make a good police mod that we all can enjoy. (there's more to police than shooting)

plus (i don't mean to sound like a political dick head) the only truely good place to make a police mod is in america...and of course, just like every other nut that wants to stick thier pricks in a grinder, they want it like Los Angeles or Mimi and have a bloody shoot out next to a war in some third world country.  Realistcally, the real excitment in police work is the unexpected and in video games, that's almost impossible.
