Marsuitor 0 Posted June 20, 2004 yeah, I had the wrong term yesterday their call Marine Hunters..I guess jegers is the norwegian term for hunter?here's the link: http://www.specialoperations.com/Foreign/Miscellaneous/Scandinavia.htm Reconmercs, The information found at that site is mostly wrong and outdated. There isn't really any good sites about Norwegian special forces with regards to pictures, or information for that sake. But that goes with the nature of of the job. If you're interested, the following sites have some information and pictures, but are in Norwegian. So if you don't know Scandi they might be somewhat hard to navigte. http://www.marinejeger.no Official Norwegian "Navy SEAL" recruitment and information site. http://www.mil.no/haren....=201836 Army Special Forces recruitment and information site. Also the site for the Fallskjermjeger unit. Not SF but some pretty hard conscripts.

AKM 0 Posted June 21, 2004 Where's that SFP? Pushup animation and "Radio" animation. Let's reproduce that inside OFP. Haha.
Viking_NFS 0 Posted June 21, 2004 Right guys, that's enough... Don't want anyone getting pissed off and yelling back at you, which will eventually close this topic, do you? Marsuitor and I are currently working to improve the camo of our soldiers (newer colours to match the ones of the more elite units). So expect some more pics soon enough! AKM 0 Posted June 21, 2004 Mmmm. Pictures. But no more Swede SF, please. My mother's starting to suspect something is amiss.
GoOB 0 Posted June 21, 2004 That article is incorrect though and those soldiers seen in the pictures doing.... Err... "Radio operations" are most probably soldiers from AMFBAT (Swedish equivalent of RMC more or less) we do have coastal "SF", but those aren't as plentiful as described in the article. And they are called the Kust jägare (coastal jaegers).
jotte 0 Posted June 21, 2004 The soldier in the back of the picture have at least done the örnmarschen (eagle marsch) as you can see the insignia on his right arm. Considering how youthfull he is looking I doubt he is anything else then a conscript at fjs. (Parachute ranger school)
iNeo 0 Posted June 21, 2004 And they are called the Kust jägare (coastal jaegers). Kustjägare. Gotta fight särskrivning (spaces in the middle of words)
GoOB 0 Posted June 21, 2004 And they are called the Kust jägare (coastal jaegers). Kustjägare. Gotta fight särskrivning (spaces in the middle of words) Bah, särskrivning is for people with a working spacebar :P
Marsuitor 0 Posted June 21, 2004 Wrong, sćrskrivning is for hookers and fat people! *Bender mode off* Now on a more serious note, there are a couple of more pictures i took. This time members of NORSOF conducting a training excercise at Khartoum Intl. in preperation for possible scenarios they might face during their deployment. We're still using BAS M4's, but are working on proper weaponry for the people. Again, overall this is WIP. Cheers, Marcus
jotte 0 Posted June 21, 2004 Looks good, nice textures. A few more polys on the boonies wouldn't hurt though. They look a little sqaurish now. Ask Shar about the one he made for the SFP 4.0 SSG (screens below).
Evishion 0 Posted June 22, 2004 Very nice pix Marsuitor. but maybe the hat have a bit few polys ?
Jahve 0 Posted June 22, 2004 U forgot 1 thing in your translation, Viking. Norwegian Foreign counterpart HJK(red berets) SFOD-Delta, 82nd
iNeo 0 Posted June 22, 2004 Looking good, is that BAS' weapons though? Or your own? And btw Quote[/b] ]coastal jaegers Jägare = Rangers Jaeger/Jäger is German, I don't know why people use that all the time?

jotte 0 Posted June 22, 2004 Great Are the Norwegain army still using the MG-3 as GPMG?
Marsuitor 0 Posted June 22, 2004 Aye, believe one to be in the works. Apart from that, there's a minimi para on line.
Viking_NFS 0 Posted June 23, 2004 Jahve, The HJK is the Parachute Rgt. of the Army, yes, but it is split into FSK and "FJ", and both those units use the red beret, so writing HJK aswell as FSK and FJ is pointless. Jotte and DiabloTerror, The boonie is BAS's boonie, so complain to them I will, though, do as you said and ask Shar for his... Cheers
Viking_NFS 0 Posted June 23, 2004 Right, two more pics... These ones are featuring the updated desert patrol model, this time with the mask covering half of the guys face (prevents getting sand in the mouth and nose).
