Viking_NFS 0 Posted June 14, 2004 OK, here are two pics I made while messing around with the new FSK unit the other day: First off, a joint US-Norway SF patrol ends in tragedy as an enemy sniper round suddenly catches a US trooper in the head: Second, a Norwegian vehicle patrol comes under heavy enemy fire (sorry bout the slightly bad tracers, but it beats the OFP ones!): More soon! Colossus 2 Posted June 15, 2004 The AG3, AFAIK, is not currently planned to be released as standard arm for the men.  AG3 is a must  I belive the army is trying to replace the AG3 next year or so. I could be mistaken
Marsuitor 0 Posted June 15, 2004 I belive the army is trying to replace the AG3 next year or so.I could be mistaken  From what i gather, following units have already gotten their mitts on new guns: - SF on Diemacos for the most. - Marines (Kystjegere) on G36. - Naval EOD (Minedykkerkommandoen) on G36. - And the current Telemark Taskforce in Kabul on G36. However don't know what the status on these will be after Cav-Bn takes over, if they get them or they follow TMBN back home. However, there is still a trial going on between G36 and C8/SFW. I'm hearing that there is a slight discontent with the G36. It's mainly been coming from the Marines complaining about performance in their AO, but also sand clogging the insides during OPs in Kabul. A good few in Telemark Bataljon are pressing on getting a number of Diemacos, but the cost of these are three G36 to one C8/SFW apparently. They might get lucky, especially seeing that they share the same base as Army SF who use them as standard. Anyhow, enough offtopic ranting for now, i'm going back to get my cussed computer back online! Thanks again for comments peeps! Cheers, Marcus
Jahve 0 Posted June 15, 2004 Next year? weeee no AG3 for me from Sept 2005 then

Redkid Joker 0 Posted June 16, 2004 This is great, Jahve. Now all we need is a map of Sweden so we can take back whats rightfully ours  Denoir's gonna hate that  Uhm... There already is one... Rightfully yours? We gave you Norway, we were nice to you...
Colossus 2 Posted June 16, 2004 Sorry to start on the historical topic, but Norway was a gift to Sweden becouse Denmark was on Napoleon's side. And Denmark, before the Napoleon war, was in a union with Norway. When we had our first king, Harald Haarfagre, a part of todays Sweden was Norwegian. But all of this is put to side and Sweden, Denmark and Norway is very close diplomatically and culturally (not sure of the spelling)
Viking_NFS 0 Posted June 16, 2004 Hey, guys... Let's not piss eachother off here I'm currently working on black-clad soldiers from, as Marsuitor called it, the more mystery shrouded part of our army (and navy)... I think that's what he called it, anyways More pics coming soon, so stay tuned!
jotte 0 Posted June 16, 2004 collosus, read this http://www.smb.nu/svenskakrig/1814.asp I'm from that particular part of Sweden that once was Norwegian (What once was called Ranarike). Now back on the real topic. Any future plans for heimevernet soldiers?
Viking_NFS 0 Posted June 16, 2004 Well, we might be adding HV-016 soldiers, which are the "special forces" of our heimevern. They train for securing infrastructure as well as the securing and escorting of key personell. They were the first part of the Heimervern ever to be mobilized 9/11, when they secured the NATO Joint Warfare Center on Jĺttĺ in Stavanger A little announcement: WaffenDennis has joined our team as animator! We all welcome him! GO DENNIS !!!
jotte 0 Posted June 16, 2004 Ah, that was the particular unit of the HV I was thinking of. Just couldn't remember the name.
