tankieboy 0 Posted June 29, 2004 Quote[/b] ][Link removed - see above - Fubar] Although you probably (hopefully) mean the right thing, I think some people may find that picture offending. This is happening these days in irak and it's a terrible thing. Please think of the families involved and the families of soldiers abroad and remove the picture. Yes please remove. Not a good subject.
WargamingNor 0 Posted June 29, 2004 ...continued: So the pilot takes in the views of the A Shau Valley instead ...but as he flies over Bou Aie Piaum, his eyes suddenly catch some movement down below The troops on the ground are caught somewhat off guard, and makes the mistake of not hiding The Cessna makes another pass to verify that he saw enemy troops below The VC troops stands aimlessily on the ground, thinking that this plane doesen't represent any immeditate risk to them And so the pilot in the Cessna has a positive ID of enemy on the ground to be continued... Placebo 29 Posted June 29, 2004 Ok let's try something different from today onwards..... Basher5_2 - 5x >100kb = WL+1 for 5 Months. adrenaline red 5x >100kb (page 42) = WL+1 for 5 Months. WargamingNor 1x >100kb = WL+1 for 1 Month. Good idea? From now on that's the policy, so these three people especially should consider themselves very fortunate. Major Fubar 0 Posted June 29, 2004 Good idea Placebo! People, it's really not that hard to check your image sizes... Be aware, some image hosts will alter the size during upload - don't just assume because it is 100kb or less on your hard drive it will be the same once uploaded. IMHO, the best thing to do is use the forum's "Preview Post" feature, and check images before hitting the "Add Reply" button. For Internet Explorer, all you need to do is put your cursor over the image, right cleck and select "Properties". I'm sure all other browsers have an equivalent feature... WargamingNor 0 Posted June 29, 2004 What do you mean "WL+1 for 1 month"? I edited the post in question...I was so sure none of the pics were over 100kb... but I checked and it was 104kb... Â *gets down on knees and gets ready for a bullet in the neck, while pleading for his life* But no post without a pic, so here it continues: more preparations under way on the US base the first helicopters fly out to Bou Aie Piaum a platoon out on duty not far from Bou Aie Piaum are given orders to join the coming battle to be continued... Placebo 29 Posted June 29, 2004 What do you mean "WL+1 for 1 month"? WL+1 = Warning Level increase of 1. You can see warning levels under someone's name, example..... That person has a warning level of 2, when it reaches 5 the result is a permanent ban. So in the future if someone posts 3 pics over 100kb they will receive a warning level increase of 1 for a period of 3 months, if they break any rules during that time they risk an increased warning level and/or a temporary post restriction. Good behaviour in that time means the warning will be removed Now let's go back to the theme of the topic, Opf pics <100kb in good taste
