Y2K3 - Updated Ofp Config.

ummm.

just wait. . .fischkopps hummer is due for a new release anyday now. so when its released im gonna be using that one instead. . . so when its released ill use that one as well as make the new installer.

so just hang on til its released smile_o.gif

I'm getting a CBT script error on mission load, when the mission has a M2A2 Bradley in it. If I place one from the Combat! Bradley pack, no problem. Do you know what's up with that? ANd I think I have the newest beta version. It's a little hard to tell with your demonic rate of progression.

i mentioned this before

you need to edit the script found in cbt_brad_scripts.pbo find the cbt_brad_init.sqs open it in notepad or something, find where it says "hint: combat bradly pack error" and delete that line out . . .just the part that says hint and the rest of the message. . . nothing else. .  theres 2 "hints" in there that need to be removed.

rudedog said it was to help solve errors by leaving that hint in there. . .and personaly i dont like it. . . cuz my philosophy is: if its broke. . .dont tell me its broke. ok so it gives that error tellin me that theres an mp pack error. . big deal. .. im not using it in MP im using it in SP. . and it works fine i dont need to be reminded that it doesnt work. . .its annoying.

so just edit that script and repbo and u should be fine

PS: no more progression til i get fischkopps humvees so dont worry tounge_o.gif

Pappy, I was wondering how you unbinarize the original config.bin that comes with the resistence expansion pack? When I do it with Unpbo1.3, some of the data is messed up and MakePBO will have errors.

i used ECP's config. . thier editor version from the ECP page (hence it being ECP based) plus the BIS-O2 comes with the default (unedited) Resistance Config then i edited from there smile_o.gif

Hey I just tried to de-pbo the BIS OH-58.pbo and BRMD.pbo in an attempt to replace both of these BIS addons with BAS versions. Unfortunately after I Un-pbo them, the config file is in BIN format, and my BINtoCCP program won't work on this file. Are some of the BIS addons protected so that we can't edit them? Is there a better program that will unBIN the config so that I can edit it?

There. Now that we got that over with, I'm still having problems with that CBT script error. Yes I deleted those hint lines and re-PBO'd, like you suggested. No joy. Can you send me the edited CBT_Script.PBO? So I can be done with the bastard?

Anyway, I'll get it figured out eventually.

Are you going to make sure that problem is eliminated in the next update?

Just 2 questions-how would I implement the old water textures and NVGs? Where can I dload them from? The newest beta got rid of them (probably because of DXDLL, I assume) but My comp can't run DXDLL-how would I bring back the old nvgs and water?

run the llumax installer in the beta addons pack that will install the new nvg and waters smile_o.gif

@cbt problem: dont tell combat this tounge_o.gif but the installer will install that for you

@oh58: its already replaced with the BAS one

@brdm: use the PBO Decrypter 1.3 for de-bining config.bin and i dont know where to find it

I have never used this mod before, but I like the sound of it. Can I use it with FDF Mod at the same time? And CSLA?

Should I download the full mod or can I use existing addons I already have (ie: CBT packs, BAS etc). What is the easiest way to get this mod up and running. Is it worth it? Does it lag lots?

I can't get it to work with FDF. I don't think that's really a problem with Y2k3 though. I think I remember reading some stuff, that FDF kind of purposely made it impossible/very difficult to use any other effects mod with it(GMR, ECP, etc). sad_o.gif

mods are rarely counter-compatable like ECP and FDF or CSLA and FDF

on lag it depeneds on your system specs. . i have a 1.5 on a gf2 with 256 ram and its playable for me. . .its not wonderful. but its playable

about download: just wait a week or two the final version of this mod will be avalible and u will only need to download one thing. well 3 things. . . but thier all installers so it should be very simple to use smile_o.gif

is it worth it? i could answer that but my opinion may be a lil bias tounge_o.gif

well you need them...... ithe one for the O.pbo are for free choise but change your ANIM.pbo .....

@ Benus: already done. the Opbo being its ungodly size wont be "included" but will be linked in a readme of sorts as an optional but reccomended download

@wolf: just change the model path for the AK

@run: i released the USCG Pack on the 25th cuz its better to give then to recieve. i get more joy out of seeing you guys enjoy the work i do (on Y2K3) and the work that extraction and i do on USCG smile_o.gif

Im not sure if this has already been answered but i can't read 95 pages tounge_o.gif

i installed Y2K3 and the BAS addons executable... and also the T55 addon. However, when i play all models/skins seem squashed and mangled... for example ppl look like just flat faces on the ground, with mangled textures, same happens with bushes...

the gun however isn't effected...

Does anyone know what may be causing the problem and how to fix it? Y2K3 looks good and i really wanna play it sad_o.gif

Hey papp's i noticed that the tank shock dust thats in ecp is missing in y2k3 rock.gif is that something thats still missing or would it only be me?

When can we expect another full release, not betas where we have to download extra addons and extra this and that.

Just a full installer.. Anytime soon?
