wolfbane 0 Posted March 10, 2004 Looks very nice! I have worked on a nuke script on and off for ofp for some time now just for the fun of it but it looks kinda shitty compared to this.. How do you get the cool bright light that you have in your bomb? Is it possible to do that by a script (like with the drop command) or do you need to do modeling and/or texturing stuff? MrZig 0 Posted March 10, 2004 Hmm can I beta test it
bn880 5 Posted March 10, 2004 now the bomb is an B61 mod 4, 10 kt version. It has 1200 meters of blast damage. (sorry for bad english, i'm learning ) edit: i can take more screenshots if you want I keep trying to tell you, you can NOT say that a 10kt Nuke has a 1200m blast radius, and the next moment say a 2kt nuke has a 1200m radius. There are physical constants here. A deadly blast radius of 1200m is calculated to come from a ~5Kt nuclear weapon. Not 10kt.
bmgarcangel 0 Posted March 11, 2004 Man, I think they should make it so that you can flatten trees and shit. That would be so tight!
Lt_Damage 0 Posted March 11, 2004 Yay "tight" has replaced "buff" in US slang... I was getting so tired of hearing them speak... And this nuke is not MP compatible at all.
bmgarcangel 0 Posted March 11, 2004 Damn...that sucks **Sucks on his thumb thinking about the end of the world as everons know it ** Man, when this thing comes out though....hohohohman sweet!
walker 0 Posted March 11, 2004 Man, I think they should make it so that you can flatten trees and shit. Â That would be so tight! Hi bmgarcangel The CoC Nuke already does. You never tried it? It also includes EMP and flash. It is very good for moving LSDs and LSTs around the map too. Kind Regards Walker

The basic equations accurate upto 20kt (actually I mean they are quite accurate even past 20Kt, but burst height plays a role in everything) r_thermal = Y^0.41 * constant_th r_blast = Y^0.33 * constant_bl r_radiation = Y^0.19 * constant_rad where Y is in multiples of 2.5Kt constants can be left at 1 giving you ranges of: 3rd degree burns (8 calories/cm^2) 4.6 psi blast overpressure 500 rem radiation dose
