Sorry for not sending you updates nephilim. Real life got to be too real for me. I got the traker model and I'll send it to you for config and stuff. I got a diff marine almost done and I'll send that out soon.

We need more aliens? I got some diff types.

I think what would fooking rules is an RTS style mod.

eg:

Aliens: the players who have joined burst from bodies as squad leaders one is the queen. the queen controls the rest of the players you can use the radios to simulate the psycic link she has to the other players. the queen builds the hive the players guard it.

meanwhile the marines have landed near a abandoned colony and have got the power going, this is the marines base they can order reinforcements with a similar structure; player squad leader, ai squad from reinforcements. the marines goal is to kill the queen so it is safe to colonize again. so they must search for the hive and kill the queen who is laying eggs for the marines to get killed by, creating ai aliens. the aliens goal is to get enough aliens to kill the marines and take over the planet.

both teams have a base, reinforcements and a goal.

i think that would be pretty sweet but hey its just a suggestion.

ACE what you gus are doing. I reinstalled OFP and OFP:R just to wait until this is out (and the Star Wars mod.)

Just my two cents: Bare with me, ive got NO clue about scripts, textures and that stuff but ive got 17 years Roleplay experience ghostface.gif

This is how "my" script would look like

if Player Distance to egg closer than 5m, activate egg opening seqence.

Spawn Facehugger at location egg

Facehugger tries to get to Player nearest to him

If Player Distance to Facehugger distance closer than 1, Player dies.

Respawn time: X min

Spawn Alien at location dead player.

Like i said, NO CLUE ' bout this, but i hope this at least inspires.

Anyway, waiting for pic's, demo' , and of course the final thing.

as u can c te apc is nearly done so u can leave it at first

just take on teh aliens ok?

about hte marines

i started on some new one alread (hemet, no helmet etc)

but i have some probs with configing them

@ nathaniel

there will be such a script

and if i get teh debris script sorted there will even be realistic chest bursters biggrin_o.gif

as for the story line of the campaign..

im not reaviling much yet

btw the m577 apc is 90% complete

it only needs some polishing, neat textures and a config biggrin_o.gif

and yes there will be animated doors turrets and more

the aliens in alien will be easier to make because they are humanoid and have fists (well claws). i didn't understand the starship troopers ones surely it would of been easier to use a weapon for attacking instead of a script?

the apc outer model is done

the interior needs tweaking cuz i dont have any good pics of the inside (guess ill have to let my fantasy play a bit biggrin_o.gif)

the soldiers will come in even more variants (weather ponchos, females, diff samrtgunners etc) adn will recieve some better textures later on

not great oney yet

im currently redoing the pulse rifle and the flamer

some facts

-complete new m41a mesh (only bout twice as much faces as old m41a)

-effetc (working lcd display, well im thinking bout htis)

-dropable ammo mags

-new textures

-pump anim for grenadelauncher

-sling (yes a sling and it will work with a soldier as it should)

m240 incenerator

-new mesh

-good effects (better tehn teh mvd ones biggrin_o.gif)

-user friendly (no scripts to use inside mission edtior)

-comined m41+m240 (as ripley uses this in ALIENS)

pics comigm later on

(if placebo doesnt kill me :P)
