joltan 0 Posted February 23, 2004 i dont know if this is possible, but i´d like to see som realistic northern lights (appering only on winter islands (similar to the snow in ECP) and during the winter months (late November to late February)) There's a good aurora script included with Winter Nogojev - check the readme. The stars do rotate with latitude and time of year automatically. edit: that is why stars are a p3d and not a texture. The stars.p3d is a huge sphere. edit 2: d'oh, didnt realize you were talking about the aurora script. subfaction 0 Posted February 24, 2004 That moon looks really nice, but ive got to say 1024 is way over the top, try taking it down to 256, im sure it would look similar, unless you really zoom in with a scope. Too bad most of them burn in the atmosphere They make really nice traces as they burn, you may see the light trace they leave. Perseids are such a cloud of rock floating in the space, Earth usually encounters this "dust cloud" around 10th-15th August. Around that date, you may see TONS of bolids flaring in the sky... About that addition, maybe some really crazy modification of the flame script may do the job. But we are here to fight, not to stare on stars, aren't we? BTW we have such a saying which says that if you see the star falling, you may have a wish and it will be fulfilled in the future.
