more must haves:

sarugao <- old but extremely well done island

zafana <- small island, new textures very beutiful

meekong <- vietnam style

One of the best dessert islands on my opibion is "Zwa Desert Everon 2". It is a reskin of Everon, but is really good.

Another one is "Cat-Shit-One Afghanistan", but I can't find a link to it.

My favourite island is "Sarugao"

Try it and you'll fall in love with it. Is very popular aswell, so you may need it to play missions or for MP servers.

I agree on Sarugao island still being one of the greatest

"island only" addons.

There's also this "Sinai Pensinula", but it requires CAT shit

ones afghanistan, and there's the point why it's even at

the lower half of my favourite islands list.

IMHO it's a big "minus", if players are forced to allocate 63

megabytes of ram just for loading objects, required on

another island, even tho Sinai Pensinula is a well made

desert island (except the whole coast line to on the westside

of the isle).

Jelalhabat is also a very good desert/rough style island,

with two bigger towns on it, still featuring a well performance.

Off course there's no point in a discussion, wether Tohnal is

good or not - hell it's brillllllllliant. Unfortunately not everybody

is able to tell you that, but have you ever tried to install

win XP onto a 386' with 33mhz and 4mb's of ram

Kalighat is also a nice island, so are Trinity and Skye.

GAIA island is ok, but i don't find myself very often on that

(dunno why - depends on personal taste probably).

East Border (green and white) are also well made, i second

that.

And lastly, to be honest, i find meself lately very often

on Everon, Malden and Kolgujev (maybe it's just because

of my 2 1/2 year of memories on them, but they are still

damn good islands)

Hiiu by Stacker. Small jungle island with a lots of brand new plants like tall grass and palm trees. Real jewel. I really recommend this one. Just search ofp.info for link.

I'd definately agree. While Hiiu is pretty small, every inch of it is very high quality. From the grass lands in the central part of the island, to the intricately placed rocks on the northern part, to the military base, its all very very good. Also, I really like Trinity, and Skye Island. Oh, also Inquistitors(sorry, I always botch the spelling ), version of desert island, with much better textures is nice.

There is an unfinished island on my HD called Chechen Lahta, I dont know who made it but Im pretty sure that hes abandoned the project.

Anyways, the parts that he has finished are awesome. There are a bunch of little villages and towns tucked into the footshills of a large mountain region that cover the north, they make for an awesome atmosphere. Its worth checking out if you can find a link to it (Ill try looking for it).

Do you mean Bear Lahta? This Island was made by SourPanter from FLASHPOINT.RU .

It's a very nice Island!

Excellent terrain ... some very nice citys and military bases (I think it's comparable to Hellden)
