mad rabbit 0 Posted January 3, 2005 I don't mean to start up a heated discussion again and in my mind I don't care who wears what hat, but I just wanted to know the following because I couldn't find it on the web: Can a Javelin engage Air Targets? ...cause I was pretty damn sure it couldn't. Regardless of whether they can or can't, is it possible you could tell me how to make the Javelin not able to engage air targets ? I really want to use this hard work done by Mako. sanctuary 19 Posted January 3, 2005 I don't know about realism, but if i remember well , you can disable the AA capacity of a launcher by looking at its ammo definition in the config.cpp . In the case of the Javelin, you must find the config.cpp that define the ammo (it is not in the c8xmag.pbo, but in the SUCHusmc.pbo or C8X_usmc ,not sure exactly between those 2 ) Search for class SUCHJavelinAmmo and change the airLock=true; into airLock=false; (or airLock=0; ) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

But its built Ãn on the model =P, so i was wondering if anyone know's how i can add this to other units? the p3d file is named SUCHspets2.p3d.. Im doing this for personal use. theeraserhead 0 Posted January 20, 2006 Hi All: Can Santuary or someone post an update that fixes the horror face on the Russians. Each time I shoot at their face, nothing happens. I tried fixing the Config for the Russians with Santuary's script but with no avail - Error "x" instead of ",". In addition, I was wondering if a fix can be made for the following: 1. Marines v1.2 still are not as accurate with their Law launchers vs. the BIS units. 2. Some Marine units have hats rather helmets. I appreciate your time and thank you. Itseme 0 Posted January 20, 2006 I dont think he will make a fix for this. After all his marines havent got a law, they have a javelin or a SMAW. If you mean the SMAW its pretty ineffektive. And i think it was his aim to make some with hats. Especially for the force recon. Anyway i think you should't dig out old threats. A higher person will say that too you in the nearer future too. Definetly, and the weapons are still my favorite ones in OPF because quality is still high and they fit the best with the game's graphics, by now they might not be the most realistic or best looking units but its still a great pack of units whose quality matches for both east and west . In my opinion, there are no realistic usmc units for ofp or even vbs. There were not bad screens of the marines made by CodeBlue mod, but as I understand the mod is dead. S&E usmc look outdated and SC marines too (however, I respect these guys for their hard work on their addons) Thats why I have "made" usmc infantry in marpat camo for myself only. It's because I have used some parts from several ofp infantry addons and heavily redone model of marine soldier, once found in p2p (author is anonimous, but, as i understand, its conversion from vbs). i have added new head, new weapons, new marpat textures, new details. so its for privet use only and will never be realeased to public. i can post a screenshot here, if moderators will not mind it... sanctuary 19 Posted January 21, 2006 As i bought Resistance a bit late, the Marine Assault Pack was the very first addon i installed. And for me, it remains the best standalone addon that has reached OFP. Even now, i always play with this pack installed and often build quick little mission in the editor using its content. And despite better models and textures have been done, for now there is no other stand alone addon pack that features all of this in an only +/- 30mo download : -good models -good textures -nice sounds -effects that can be disabled -lots of quality weapons for each sides -superb ironsights -not only 1 side , but tons of west and east units -desert and woodland (and urban) variant of each units I am always really glad to Suchey, Earl, Tactician and Jocko Flocko for this masterpiece that does not get old for me. And that's one of the reason i built all my animations pack to be visually compatible with the Marine Assault Pack first, then tweaked it to stay +/- compatible with other kind of units model. You posted the script fix but I'm not sure how to implemented it, since I kept get an error. Once I get the file, I can work it out from there on.
