Thank you smile_o.gif I just pointed my Lensbaby towards the glass window which was reflecting one of my fellow coffedrinkers.

Yeh, assumed that.. When I get my DSLR, it'll be high on the list tounge2.gif

The "Lensbaby Macro Kit" looks interesting too..

Yer, I have that little piece of kit - Deeply regret buying it though, since there is a wide-angle converter that doubles as a macro-lens aswell. But shooting with the macro lenses is still loads of fun smile_o.gif

EDIT;

Shot this today whilst waiting for the train:

MI_Fred, pretty good picture, maybe if you'd missed that curb out it would have worked a bit better. Still, the lighting/weird pattern on the ground is cool smile_o.gif

GoOB, got an pictures taken with the lens baby macro adapters? I'd be interested in seeing what it can do

Also, finaly, what are peoples recommendations on digital SLRs? My budget is.. well, as low as possible, but I have a birthday comming up soon, so.. tounge2.gif

I've used the Canon EOS.. 20d (I think) quite a bit, and I quite liked it (It was a friends, the only thing I didn't really like was the lens, which was a bog-standard thing that came with the camera)

Any recommendations? smile_o.gif

IIRC I posted these a while back, but they are so small I reckon I can post e'm again tounge2.gif

+4 and +10 lens stacked.

+10 lens.

As for camera recomendations, if I was in the market for a DSLR I'd go for the D70 again, or the D200. But really, it's hard to go wrong with any of the DSLR's on the market today, remember, the most important thing is the glass infront of the camera, not the camera itself smile_o.gif

Well, those two photos have convinced me more to buy a lensbaby when I get that camera tounge2.gif

Just had a look at a few reviews of DSLRs.. The D70s looks best so far.. As for lenses, I'm stuck.. I never quite worked out what all the measurements are about tounge2.gif

For starters I'll just stick with the basic lens (Which I assume does reasonable close-ups/wide angle) and the lensbaby, then eventualy get a half-decent macro lens, then a decent-zoom lens..

Only bad thing I'm seeing so far is the price.. The lens's alone cost the same ammount as my current camera (Fuji S7000).. But oh well, it'll get used well tounge2.gif

Price for first purcashe, is.. ~Å680 for the D70 with 20-80MM lens, and around Å50 for the Lensbaby.. *Sigh*

Photos from my trip to Las Vegas in Feb.

On the way to LV

There was a mall, and I forgot the name. However it was right next to Wynn hotel.

Out of all the things I could have done, I decided to go there Sunday night when they are closed. banghead.gif

Wynn is the newest hotel made by Steve Wynn. It is the biggest so far, and personally I think the arrangement for the casino and shops represent the changing nature of Las Vegas.

Its a bit silly i know, but i added the japanese writing for a focal point. Does it work? They say things like "assemble part B first" etc.

Kickass stuff Killagee! Love the ones with the spiders! Really cool stuff, did you use the new Nikon 105mm macro lens for that one or a Sigma equivalent? Regardless of that you're photos are awesome, I don't think Iv'e seen a bad shot from you, ever.

What kind of spiders are those BTW? They look just like glass!

Regarding the lensbabies, I have e'm both and I'm kinda torn between them... But whatever way you go you'll get blurry stuff, so I guess you can't really go wrong with either! tounge2.gif

Thanks Goob smile_o.gif

I dunno the spiders scientific name but we call them Daddy Long Legs... The adults are opaque and reflect whatever light you shine at them. Cool eh!

These were taken with a Sigma 105mm DG Macro.
