I seem to remember there being something in london (it could have just been E3 or something) - i think it could have been at earls court. Anyway I wanted to go to it.

There should be a party in london for ofp 2. (even though all games designers would probably prefer it if it was in czecheslovakia)

I think a party would be great but one of the most attractive parts of OFP and OFP2 has nothing to do with the game. It's the OFP community!!!

Have a party online! That way anyone could "attend"

Being from the USA, skippin' over the ocean to attend a release party would be, how should I say...frikken impossible!!

Post an IP, port, and PW, and let people from the community, no matter what country, attend!

There could be special content (addons or whatever) for those that attended to download and use in the game. Lets say, faces or armpatches, or maybe vehicles with special tags on them. Something silly like that would go a long way in the community and think of the bragging rights!!!!

So you're in a MP game, you hear this rumble and an APV or something rolls up with a big "OFP Veteran" flag or patch on the door and these soldiers jump out with different uniforms or different faces and start OWNING the place.

Give the people (unlike myself) who've been around for the long haul something special for their devotion!!

Sound like a plan...? No? Well can I get T-shirt or something then?? hahaha

Well it would be extremely difficult, even if one was held on each continent, due to cost and time to individuals(heck I don't even want to work in groups at college partly due to time conflicts etc, imagine getting this many people together at the same time).

However doing it in person is important, rather than having an over web thingie. (probably not doable but would be cool, we'd all just get drunk or something and keep checking who's who from the forums, you know, like the first day at a new job... who the heck is everybody?) I would suggest any party we have is either somewhere where we can play OFP on a LAN, or just a forest/hikout/camping thing. heh

I'd come to Prague, if the designers decide to make a release party. But I don't think they'll do it in "czecheslovakia", because this country doesn't exist!

Personally, I don't care! I was suggesting ONE big one. I am so poor right now, but I'll work weekends for a round trip ticket to wherever it is! Hell, I'll sell my TV, table, microwave, pets...

N I think it should be in london, if it was hosted by codemasters, which maybe it should be, it should be in london (cos im asuming codemasters are a british company, but I am probably wrong).

And if I met the moderators I would probably 'go missing' shortly after, and then my body would be found washed up by the thames.

Nothing wrong with kicking back with something good to drink on special occasions. And the release of OFP2 would certainly consitute a special occasion

Jamesia: There is the Czech Republic and Slovakia. They separated in 1993 I think. Before that they were the CSR or CSSR, formed after WWI. Before that....they were both part of AUSTRIA!!!!!!!!!
