-)a)( 0 Posted November 21, 2003 Hi, i never had the rocket-model on my bmp. Never! I was totally surprised as i opened the bmp-model in oxygen. Then i talked to some of my clanmembers, some have the rocket-model ingame and some does'nt have it. What's wrong?
bn880 5 Posted November 21, 2003 BMP2 = rocket BMP1 = no rocket I think that's it.
-)a)( 0 Posted November 21, 2003 Look at this, it's the original ofp-bmp: [ig]http://home.tiscali.de/p_mueller/ofp/download/bmp.jpg[/img]>100kb Some of my clanmembers told me that they have this ingame too!
blackdog~ 0 Posted November 21, 2003 I have never seen that ever before. Is that the BMP demo model? That might be the reason...
-)a)( 0 Posted November 21, 2003 Yes, it is the demo-model. But i guess there is no difference between the models.
bn880 5 Posted November 21, 2003 Can we see it when nothing is being fired? Actually, I am pretty sure your clanmates can not fire any rocket from their BMP1 in resistance. Or if they can it would crash MP games. EDIT: Actually yes, the AT3 MIssile launcher is on BMP1's, but not any rocket launcher. EDIT2: I guess that is semantics, missile vs rocket. But anyway I have this AT3 launcher as well.
-)a)( 0 Posted November 21, 2003 Sure, missile is the correct translation, sorry for this mistake. You can see this missile even when it's mounted at the bmp? (not fired)
bn880 5 Posted November 21, 2003 No it's not mounted on, only see it flying out. I see the green launching guide underneath at all times though...(same as your pic below rocket/missile)
-)a)( 0 Posted November 21, 2003 Yes, the same thing to me. But two clanmembers has a mounted missile. Pictures will follow...
OG_Killer 0 Posted November 21, 2003 On the BMP in the Bas OFPOR Pack you can see the Missile! When its ready to fire you can see it mounted on the BMP Maybe your friends are playing with the BMP from Bas OG
CrunchyFrog 0 Posted November 21, 2003 In FDF mod, the BIS BMP is replaced by (realisticly) smaller BMP, with the AT3 ontop also
aj_addons 0 Posted November 21, 2003 ok the demo model has the model because it fired different missiles it fired the sagger not the at3 and the sagger is fired from a wee launch rail note a tube a la AT3
MLF 0 Posted November 21, 2003 version 1.0 of CWC had the rocket mounted on the rail of the BMP IIRC
nyles 11 Posted November 21, 2003 Erm the Sagger in fact IS the At-3. But yes, the OFP demo bmp had the missile visible on top of the gun barrel mounted on a launching rail. The final version used in OFP however doesn't. It is just like with the Shilka. In the demo the driver was able to "turn out" and you would see the driver hatch opened and could fire on the driver with small arms. In the final version Shilka, this isn't possible anymore. The standard OFP BMP is out of scale anyways, so the lack of a visible missile doesn't bother me much. There are several other things wrong as well. The FDFmod BMP is the best you can get for OFP at the moment. Correct size, much more realistic ammo loadouts, visible AT-3 Sagger and correct PKM coax sound.
