AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! She looks worse than my 4th grade teacher!!!! Ms. Cox (not cocks, but Cox.... Same pernounciation) and she was UGGGGGGGGGGGGLY! Then again, if you take out those freckles and her big ass overbite then she'd look kinda like this girl I had a crush on in NJROTC. AND MAN!! SHE WAS A HOT SUBORDINATE!! tounge_o.gif

**EDIT** she looks hot in this picture HOT KAYA

But in the others she looks ugly.... Must be her teeth.. biggrin_o.gif

I will say the graphics are extrordinary for a poly model. She is nothing special to look at. The freckles and extremely strange lips are terrible. smile_o.gif

Where did they get this freckes idea... maybe just trying to show off the texturing ability.

I do know a girl with freckles sort of like that- she's drop dead gorgeous. Happen to find freckles rather attractive, myself. As for the relative proportions of the eyes, mouth and whatnot, I don't think your opinion of the Kaya team should be based solely on your relative taste in females, as it is clear that the technical achievements in terms of 3D modelling and animation are tremendous. Them's some really big eyes, though wink_o.gif

It's great modelling, texturing and shading, but. in my opinion, I would much rather have seen the authors skills put to use making a hottie, not this!

But I must say, I am privilaged to go to a school where the majority of the chicks are very easy on the eye. One of the benefits of having a perverted principle! tounge_o.gif

Oh well, I shall not pass final judgement until we see the final product. Bring on the body! biggrin_o.gif

She'd look a little bit more real if the face would not be completely symmetrical. Every people have some differences between their left and right sides of face.

You guys, especially onzanzac since you mentioned you wanted to see hotties, might want to check out the galleries section on this site. Especially the characters and scenes. Some pretty impressive work...its hard to tell reality from the 3D work.

Hey hey HEY!!!!

I wanna let it be known, I live in the suburbs of the city thats been judged to have the best lookin women in Australia, (and in the world statistics, Australia would be right up there) so I don't have a need 'virtual' beauties clogging up my bandwidth, especially when I can just go to the city or my school and just live it up IRL. tounge_o.gif

Mother nature is the best 3D modeler IMO! biggrin_o.gif

Hi all

It saddens me to see how many of the replies to this post get hung up on the fact its a representation of a girl in the pic. People dont see past the purely personal view.

WAKE UP!

The point of the original post is the quality of the picture and its artistry not how beautiful your artificial fantasy woman would be.

The thread is about seeing what it means in OFP terms.

The thread is about steping back from what is in front of you and seeing the underlying meanings.

It the difference between what is the tactical view and the strategic.

It is the difference between what a worker sees and what a manager sees.

What how you see the image says about you

1) Consider if all you saw in the picture is a girl then all you can be is a worker.

2) If all you saw was a high poly image then all you are is a technician.

3) If you also saw the leap forward in technology ilustrated and did the calculations quickly in your head and realised that such quality in imagery in games is as little as 3 to 5 years (possibly as few as 18 months) away then you are a visionary.

I think the image and your response to it could be used to weed out people in a management interview.

So how did you do?

Kind Regards Walker

Nice pictures, but the technology isn't as impressive as Kaya's. After all it's mostly just some fanart for Matrix or some random work. wink_o.gif

Actually, if you look carefuly at the scenes section, you can see that some of them actually look like photos...I saw an abrams tank that looked like a photo in the Iraq war - I didn't believe it until I saw the wireframe.

Also, if you look more carefuly in the character section - that is if you flik through the many pages - you can see quite a few that look better than what they did on Kaya.

Some examples:

Boy

Gladiator

Angie

I especially like this little fella... smile_o.gif

Little Roman

I prefer the scenes...they're really quite extraordinary. Seems to be a 3D talent running through the Spanish. smile_o.gif

Quote[/b] ]After all it's mostly just some fanart for Matrix or some random work.

It isn't random work. It's almost all the time what the creator is thinking...seems quite fantastic to me how one can bring something visionary and creative from their mind and slap it onto the computer screen.
