Helifreak 0 Posted November 3, 2003 I´m currently working on a German Wiesel Tank. It´s a very small tank which is used with a light MK20 mm cannon. This version has a working anim for the mirrors and the visual system. The Wiesel will be finished in about a week when everything goes the right way. I have a problem, because you can´t see through the mirrors of the driver. In anyone can help me, please write me an email (raven_80@web.de) or ICQ (145909991). The actual version has shadows. @Mr. Burns I would like to make such a script......but 1) I can´t script very well 2) I´m not quite sure if something like that is possible in OFP... Helifreak 0 Posted November 3, 2003 Be careful! Some of this versions are not Wiesel1, but Wiesel2. The Wiesel 1 was\is only used with Mk 20 mm, TOW (or newer with Milan), and as command vehicle......I will make Mk20mm and with TOW.....perhaps some Wiesel2 versions later Regards Helifreak Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

If they are paa's, select the mirror textures, invert the selection, cut it and paste it in again. PSC P.S.: Very nice work. I believe when it's released, I'll make a mission revolving around hunting for a known enemy patrol within freindly territory. Oh what fun this addon will bring. Now if you want to create an absolute simulation of the real Wiesel (within, of course, OFP engine limits), you could take these data in account . Main source : Rheinmetall Landsysteme : Wiesel (pdf file) A- You have given it a full-traverse turret. While the wiesel 2 seems to have a full-traverse turret (& weapon plateform depression/elevation -10°/+70°), Wiesel 1 has different figures : Wiesel Mk 20 A1, with Rheinmetall 20mm cannon Turret traverse : -110°/+110° Gun Elevation/depression : +45°/-10° Wiesel TOW A1, with TOW-2 Turret traverse : -45°/+45° Gun Elevation/depression : +10°/-10° B- "The one-man KUKA turret is armed with a dual-feed cannon with 160 rounds of ready ammunition. 60 rounds on the left side, 100 rounds on the right side, so allowing the gunner to select the type of ammunition required to engage differents targets." Jane's Armour & Artillery 1991-92, 12th edition This would mean that Wiesel use AP and HE rounds (sorry, don't know their designations ), probably 60 AP and 100 HE ready-to-use rounds, ie 35.5% AP and 62.5% HE. Could we apply theses figures to the Wiesel's 400 rounds ? it's up to you ! I know the difficulties about programming for the same vehicle differents ammunition loads and on-board in-stock ammos. Moreover, the IA may not want to select HE rounds against Infantry. Could the HE rounds fire be conceived as a "heavy machine gun" instead? The IAS will be then able to use adequate rounds against ennemy Infantry. Maybe that solution could resolve many problems (ready-to-use and in-stock ammos for example) !?!
