Camera tool

Recommended Posts

Something i found at ofp.gamezone.cz

Gummi released his Camera Tool, this addon was first created to be able to easily make cooler screenshots in OFP.

The cameras have a very powerful zoom.

The camera model and textures are very cheap.

But I guess you can also use this addon to simulate a camera man in war.

-GMI Camera Tool 1 is a widescreen camera (using 1024x1024 texture)

-GMI Camera Tool 2 is a fullscreen camera

How do you zoom the camera that far? Mine seems to only have one setting...

Anyways, great work!

Use the + and - keys on your number pad.

Way on the right side of your keyboard

Great addon!

How about a microphone addon, maybe with a new animation to make it look like you're talking into it?

Maybe a somekind of script system so that when you 'fire' and 'hit' your target with camera a trigger activates and you could make missions where you eg. have to get some bad guys on tape?

I made a camera like this for myself awhile back and was planning a release, but Gummi beat me to it smile_o.gif

Just a thought: with a camera this big, the cameraman would normally carry it on his shoulder...could you config the camera like a LAW so he crouches with it on his shoulder? Not a criticism, just a stray thought wink_o.gif

I love Gummi's camera, but I don't like its textures. I don't know but I just don't.

Some time ago, I published me idea of combat photograph....it is almost this, but not video camera like this, but normal (photo)camera. Here it is.

This is one that I made when I was bored, pretty much the same idea.

I was just reading that thread yesterday, dusand, and today I saw your post about Gummi's camera tool.

I notice that the link to download it at OFP.info also has a link to a screen image saver utility. It's called "Screen Saver", which can be a bit confusing, since it has nothing to do with protecting your screen like a Windows 3D Pipes screen saver, for example. Instead, its function is to notice when you've pressed the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard and to write that screen capture immediately to a JPG file [as of version 1.1, it makes JPGs].

I tried it, and had some troubles that I solved, so I am going to tell the rest of you here what happened and how to deal with it.

I run OFP on a PC with two monitors, and whenever I used the "Screen Saver" program, it would make a screen capture of both my monitors, but never included any of OFP--instead, it showed the background behind OFP on my Windows desktop.

I found that if I hit ALT+Print Screen, instead, I was able to get fine screen caps that are saved properly. If you use two monitors, you should use ALT when hitting the Print Screen button whenever you want to make a screen capture of OFP, whether you use this "Screen Saver" program or not.

I remember someone made an addon with a camera man, holding a big camera on his shoulders (like a AT weapon). It was in the OFP Photography thread somewhere..

That would be me too. The problem is that civilians aren't classed by default to even be able to carry an AT weapon, and even when I coded them to have the inventory for one they refuse to use it even if its their only weapon.

Why not make a cameraman for each side? Or at least one for Resistance, which would let mapmakers decide whether the cameraman/men are friendly or not and to whom?
