Pretty odd opf ai in mission.

Recommended Posts

Twas playing a mission in Red Hammer. The "Rage" mission. At the first target I infiltrated the area and hopped into a T-72 as the gunner. The sirens sounded and all the tank crew came running out.

I destroyed the T-72 near me, and continued to destoy the rest on the base, when all of a sudden one of the tank crew got into my T-72 as the driver.

Should that happen?

I experimented and learnt that I can switch to the driving seat, and give the gunner targets and order him to fire (since I was a higher rank than him.)

So I finished off the base, taking everything down with the help of my 'enemy' gunner. I saw a T-80 drive towards me. I was preparing for attack when he just drove past.

On the map screen I was displayed as the enemy. They would not fire back. Took this to my advantage and took out EVERYTHING I could find.

Once all finished, I went to the extraction point and changed to gunner position (so when I get out, he won't shoot me) and disembarked. Placed a Satchel near the tank and blew him up.

Bless him for helping me.

I was playing on patch 1.46. I don't know if it is fixed in 1.91.

Thanks for reading.

This happened to me twice in the CWC campaign.

I was playing the mission where you must steal some documents from Guba's corters, can't remember the name. But anyways, I broke into the Helicopter base, shot about 5 guys and ran towards the hind to get in it so they wouldn't fire at me. In all the confusion, I got in as the gunner while the Soviet pilot hopped into his position. He took off and I shot at enemies as he circled the base. He finally crashed into a mountain... So I restarted the mission, this time I hopped into the Shilka at the base. The crew scrambled as I began to shoot up the base. The commander and the driver hopped in and started giving me orders. But I was a higher rank then both of them. I kicked them out and continued to shoot everything I saw. A T-80 looked at me, but then just drove off, I had about 700 rounds left, so I waited untill it passed me and I shot up its engine. I ran out of ammo and disembarked, but the enemy soldiers still wouldn't shoot at me.

All I can say is: Good Times smile_o.gif

Same here..in the mission where you are captured and have to escape, I ran and accidentaly jumped into a hind as gunner instead of pilot. The pilot jumped in and started circling around the base. I emptied all avaiable ammo, ejected, and proceeded to escape.
