Well, the difference is basically that one's a box and the other's a circle . I'm just surprized because that's what it's looked like on every Russian aircraft since the MiG-19, and I've never seen a sim or western HUD footage showing an American plane with a circular target designator. Well, the difference is basically that one's a box and the other's a circle  . FSPilot 0 Posted August 14, 2003 I'm getting less and less excited about this sim. Sure it looks great, sounds great, but where's the beef? I want to fly the sim, not look at it. It's just wearing old with me I guess. Plus I learned I'm not going to have a LOMAC-capable PC in my dorm room unless my roomate brings one. Think a C-172 can do a strafing run like an A-10?
