redhawk_six 0 Posted September 30, 2003 I still say we need a Tim Horton's on there as well. YES! Â It needs a timmy's, it's not Canada without a Tim Hortons! Â Can't wait till this is released. It would make a good setting for a "joint exercises" mission. Â Prehaps Suchey's MARPAT USMC's vs. CADPAT Canadian Inf. Â
The Frenchman 0 Posted September 30, 2003 Prehaps Suchey's MARPAT USMC's vs. CADPAT Canadian Inf. Â See powerslide, look how many armies want your country! (A winter version would be neat. )
Powerslide 0 Posted September 30, 2003 The island looks great judging by the screens! Â Ive been waiting on this for a long while! Â The release of additional screens leads me to one question...is the project nearing completion? Â No rush...just wondering. Should be out shortly Suchey. A winter version is planned yes. I may ask Kegetys to "reverse engineer" some of his winter stuff, if that fails I will do it from scratch. Beware, with all the custom objects it's nearing the 40 MB size. I am working on urban areas, will post a couple screens.

It's about as Canadian as apple pie. I agree it would be a good idea to have it in the map though.  Also, how about a greyhound bus addon to tool around the island with? hellfish6 7 Posted September 30, 2003 So... lemme get this straight... the Canadian Prairie isle is for the training/pre-enlistment part of your campaign, but then there will be another island that most of the campaign will take place on?
tankieboy 0 Posted September 30, 2003 Fucking A, lol
Guest #### Posted October 1, 2003 Yes Hellfish, the main operational area will be Slavonia, it is a much better map than prairie but since Powerslide is preventing me from posting more screenes because it is better than his work I cannot show you anything. Powerslide is a thieving rat bastard who hogs all the glory. Spam him and force him to post screenes of Slavonia.
bn880 5 Posted October 1, 2003 I still say we need a Tim Horton's on there as well. YES! It needs a timmy's, it's not Canada without a Tim Hortons! Yeah good work and all, but Tim Hortons, that shit's disgusting. Dunkin Donuts, mmm, that was some good pig feed. (no offense to pigs)
earl 0 Posted October 1, 2003 Looks good, but it's not the prairies until I see some pickup trucks...

CanadianTerror 0 Posted October 1, 2003 I'd like to see my old '99 F150(in a dark green with the chrome mirrors) parked on the prairies. So if anyones wanting to make a pick-up...Ford would be the way to go. Â @bn880 If you dont like Tim Horton's coffee...you're on crack. EDIT: Extend cab too, dont forget the 4 door extend cab for the truck!
Guest #### Posted October 1, 2003 Dunkin Donuts! You're a communist! Tim Hortons owns period. Better than Krispy Kreme, Starbucks, you name it.
bn880 5 Posted October 1, 2003 Actually I don't drink coffee, I was referring to the donuts. You guys have terrible taste. In Poland we had proper donuts, actually called ponczki, and my mother even used to manage a bakery there, so I know what good donuts are, and Tim Hortons is stuff to make you wanna puke compared to the real stuff. Yeah, so many Kannucks love TH that Dunkin DOnuts is extinct here. I just get my donuts at polish delis if I have to now.

Proper donuts? Proper donuts according to who? Could you please define a "proper donut"?
Guest #### Posted October 1, 2003 Well since you don't drink coffee you are definately a communist. Don't believe 2% of the Columbian population should own 80% of the land eh! Well we'll just have to fix you little "RED" wagon. Besides Canadians invented the donut, so we know whats best, Tim Hortons is one of the few resturant chains to successfully invade the U.S . There is something to be said about that.
AKM 0 Posted October 1, 2003 *Rocks back and forth in chair.* We need to fix the little Red Wagon here. *Pats rifle.* AK
hellfish6 7 Posted October 1, 2003 I can't believe that there is an argument about DONUTS. I mean - DONUTS? Come on. Let's get a little bit more back on topic, please.
Guest #### Posted October 1, 2003 It is on topic, Tim Hortons is an important part of Canadian Culture. Also all missions we are going to make for this island will start off at the Tim's or the objective will be to defend the Tim's from mongrel communist hordes. bonko the sane 2 Posted October 1, 2003 LMAO!!!! Â Â Got no clue wtf Tim Hortons is but it must contain some powerful *aditives* the way u guys talk about it... Also all missions we are going to make for this island will start off at the Tim's or the objective will be to defend the Tim's from mongrel communist hordes. That deserves a rare 'LMAO' from me. Everything in Canada starts or ends at Tim Horton's. In fact, I met members of our RCMP's ERT (swat team) at Tim Horton's in Vancouver... they pulled in with 3 black Suburbans, wearing black uniforms and low contrast RCMP badges, and pistols. Wasn't awake enough to notice what pistols they had, as I hadn't gotten my coffee yet. They were on their way for training somewhere.

Proper donuts? Proper donuts according to who? Could you please define a "proper donut"? Usually wherever some food comes from is the norm for "how it should be". Somehow I doubt Canada invented donuts. Screw it, you can eat your sugar+salt and whatever preservatives, I don't care. Oh hell who knows, maybe putting a hole in those things and calling them donuts was a Canadian invention. But anyway, of course it's part of Cdn. culture. If you call that culture anyway. I was just making conversation with some peopel that don't have taste buds.
