You are not alone the G36 is a weapon that transform every mission in a simple easy walk, if i take this weapon in some of the mission i made, it kills the difficulty anytime. The Aug is close in the overpower level but seems to have a little more recoil, the scoped XM is much more balanced from my tests and will not break the difficulty if i take it on my missions. But for scoped weapon, i prefer SVD for the power or the M21 for the progressive zoom Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I couldnt agree more. With the rest of the game set in the mid 80's the newer rifles, such as the G36 just dont fit in... Also, the scoped assult rifles, whilst cool to play with, really detract from the gameplay in MP, with everyone sniping at each other from long distance... On the other hand, at least they did give us the extra rifles to play with, and I for one am greatful for it. stgn 39 Posted September 1, 2003 Steyr Aug, little recoil very accurate. very accurate  I would rather have an M16, the AUG can't hit a barn from a distance of 2meters. I like the G36 cause it is almost better than the dragunov when you are sniping but it has to much recoile to be good in close combat so I take the XM177E2 wh. red dot.
