XMas Trees

This is probably old news to most of you...but it seems that a certain kind of tree in OFP changed into a christmas tree for the holiday season on any map it was used in. Kind of a nice little easter egg. Anyway...Happy Holidays folks!

That is just brilliant BIS I landed my chopper in a clearing amongst these cheerful trees, just before the sun came up. Standing there I felt compelled to put my M-16 on my shoulder. As the thwump-thwump of the chopper blades faded, the air was filled with a new sound. At first I thought it was crickets in the early hours, but then I noticed it was coming from the trees. Going closer, the sound was clearer, and it was not crickets, but a ticking. The boxes around the trees were ticking! My illusion of this peaceful clearing was shattered and the sound of my beating heart filled my ears.. I ran. The whole place froze around me as I ran towards the chopper. My feet felt like they had lead boots on and thoughts raced through my mind. "this is just a game!.. this is just a game!.. " Suddenly a booming voice came down upon me and said "Yes, it IS just a game, but it's the Gosh darn GOTY, and don't you forget it!" Then the voice changed into a gentle female voice and said "Konyak.. Konyak?" I opened my eyes and saw the familiar white walls of my room and the door with the small window on it was open. Denise stood there with a paper cup and a smile on her face.. She had a red Santa cap on. "Medication time.. " she said, "and Merry Christmas BIS"

Ok, that's not entirely accurate of what happened, but seriously. BIS, you guys made a legend with OFP, and I hope you have a fabulous Christmas and a very happy new year!

Great stuff BIS , I was just driving around, and I noticed sparkling trees, so a took a closer look, and there's presy's under them:)

What a great easter egg. Just wondering if theres something in store for Xmas day, like a new unit under one of these trees or a new russian or resitance weapon. Now that would be cool

Yup the russians no longer want war. I was making a russian base and today turned on the computer and noticed the russains had put Christmas trees up over night. God and to think we always thought the russians wanted to Nuke the world. Haha jk. Merry X-mas everybody and BIS, erfworm

I believe that on Christmas day the Russians stop fighting, get out the vodka and party and play football with NATO 8-).

Im really happy that today nobody wants to fight. Its not improtant tha is it just in OFP but at athis times we should be with our families and enjoying the peaceful atmosfere od christmas.

Really no one made an "X-Mas ADDOn"?!

I expected for the West soldiers "Santa Claus" dressing and the trucks converted to red "Coca Cola" ones and for the East soldiers with Ded Moros (Old Man Winter) clothes or disguised as the Grinch.

Combined with Kegetys Winter AddOn and BIS X-Mas trees it would be a nice funny one.

Just one question, when do these x-mas trees go away? I'm making a mission set in June and I loaded up the map today to work on it and all of a sudden I find its Christmas in June.

Um, I know its like 8 years later, but how do I find these trees again? Are they still there? lol :D
